Morons come in all parties...

Duggan is a good guy, met him once and talked for a bit. Usually pretty rational, and informed, but I can't get behind this one. He claimed he has enough supply and that those doses would be better sent to rural areas with supply shortages, but it's in his best interests to get as much supply as his distribution capacity can allow for to speed up the rollout to his citizens. Detroiters are lagging way behind the surrounding metro areas and burbs.

Wait, why isn't anyone in here calling this dude a murderer?

Because he's a dem or because Connecticut doesn't matter?

The latter. F Connecticut.

Ah, okay.

Sorry, I wasn't clear on that. I also don't have a full list of what's at 50% capacity, but it's generally across the board.

I thought you meant 50% of the DE population had been vaccinated.  I was about to be really impressed.

Highest are the Dakotas and AK in the 20's for at least one dose. Most states are mid to high teens. Some southern states like MS and GA are lagging behind.

GA's at like 7%.  It's bad.  I'm actually in the process as we speak of scouring drug store locations in Alabama to see if I can get it.

You know everyone's going to be watching Texas' numbers like a hawk for the foreseeable future.

If these new variants are as dangerous as they're reporting, there's no telling how fast things could happen.

And if it gets bad you can bet multiple lawsuits will be coming that little twerp Abbott's way.

7% for just a single dose? Or for both?

You know, I'm not sure.  I think it was a single dose, but I could be wrong.

In either case, things should ramp up in the next month or so.

I feel like the whole variants thing is getting blown out of proportion. While this isn't Texas or the US, I found this data out of Denmark to be rather interesting:

EuyV3UZXIAAjr-k.thumb.jpeg.acdede4a5f924266a4c766e6bafc69dd.jpeg

So in 6 weeks, new infections fell by 85% as a whole even though the B117 variant grew from just under 4% of all new cases to 48%. Obviously there are other variants out there, but the UK one doesn't seem like it's worth getting concerned over.

Let's be honest, this is like the worst time in human history to be having kids.
