One can be equal parts pissed with some of the ridiculous mandates and still find the behavior in this video and lack of respect for a stranger three feet from you disturbing, Toast.

Wow.... what a difference, eh! 1.8% reduction...

1.8% off the baseline, which I take to be the growth rate at day zero. Note it's in growth, which compounds. Without reading further I have to assume the percentages are tied to the specific 20 day periods, and reducing growth 1.8% is significant over 20 days.

How would a 1.8% difference in your mortgage change the total amount you owe at the end? It's a lot.

:nonono:  you're not spreading your lung cancer to some stranger unlucky enough to be sitting next to you on the subway.

i don't blame colleges/universities for having strict mask policies. if there's one setting where covid could spread like wildfire, it's a college campus where students are crammed into classrooms, dorms, apartments, dining halls, etc.

I live on a college campus and here’s my take - it’s easier to just make them mandatory when you’re outside your dorm room or apartment then stipulate only in crowded spaces.  Yeah, maybe it’s overkill - but that’s the cost of staying on campus (instead of going remote).

Do you even hear yourself?! Yeah, let's just be dumb and unscientific because its... easier?

Jesus dude. Again... point blank, don't avoid the question:

Are you going to make smokers refuse treatment for lung cancer?

Crammed into INDOOR PLACES! Name me an outdoor situation on a college campus that dictates the SCIENTIFIC NEED for masks.

You all are ridiculous.

They almost sent everyone home a few weeks ago and that’s with everyone wearing masks anywhere on campus.

Get a clue.

I got my first jab yesterday. Put myself on cvs waiting list for missed appointments and extra doses. It was our cvs store’s first day and I got a call at 4pm. They said can you get here in 30 mins because there is one dose extra today. I said hell yes and now I’m one dose down.
No doses left behind!

Question I had on this approach, did they schedule your second appt on the spot? Meaning, they reserved your second dose for you already?

Yeah wow what a bunch of idiots thinking people should wear masks during a global pandemic. So ridiculous. What's next asking people to wash their hands?

Did a mask bang your wife or some ish? Dude,  relax, this is finally over. All the restrictions, aside from masks, are going to be lifted in a month or two, if they haven't been already. Chill out and pound a brotein shake, it's gonna be alright. You can get back to lifting things up and putting them down in no time.

You don't say?

any time you're unable to socially distance more than 6 feet away. going outside doesn't magically make covid not contagious. it helps some...but if you're in a crowded space...even outside...it can spread easily.

What I find humorous is town or city police trying to enforce Covid gathering limits (mandated by the state or local govt) at off-campus college parties.  Pretty much impossible, but they’re trying.  Lol

yeah...social distancing is pretty much the opposite of what i was trying to accomplish in college.

No... the reason is because i didn't schedule my first dose with them, CVS said i had to go onto their website and choose a "second dose appointment"; however, i was told at the pharmacy that if i had any issues, i could call back and they would slot me in.

I went onto their website immediately after getting my shot and there wasn't anything available but they said try between 6-7am the next day.  I went on this morning, selected "second dose only" I was able to get my second dose scheduled on the 22nd day after my first, only one day later than normal.  There were plenty of times available.

I think i couldn't get it on the 21st day because all of the time slots were filled up by people who got their first dose throughout the day yesterday and I came in right at the end.  But the 22nd day is just fine for me.

I cannot tell you how I'm pleased that i have an end date for being fully vaccinated on my calendar.

Obesity is certainly a high risk factor for people that are younger but there are other factors that can affect a younger person's vulnerability to COVID.  People with weakened immune systems aren't always just cancer patients (and you can't tell all cancer patients by looking at them).  There are also certain autoimmune disorders whose treatments can cause a weakened immune system because it has to be suppressed in order to keep the body from attacking itself.  There are also diabetics that aren't diabetic due to obesity.  And people with heart conditions.  I think it's easy to be annoyed and believe this whole thing is overblown until it happens to someone you love, or you have family on the frontlines of this literally suffering from PTSD because of the ish they've had to see that most of you get to be shielded from.

Tbf, I think a lot of the college students living on campuses are taking it seriously because they don’t want to go home and live with their parents.

Word. I'm itching to get ours in too. Thankfully we shouldn't have to wait too long either way since all of phase 2 is eligible here starting April 5th.

What hospitals? All hospitals? Or just the COVID-designated hospitals?

I have two personal friends that were laid off because our government mandated elective surgeries be postponed. Yet, of the 7 hospitals in the area, only ONE was designated for COVID.

Meanwhile, the Director of Emergency Medicine at one of the other hospitals on record stating "we're not seeing the surge the State Health Department warned about and we have unused resources and skilled labor that can handle it (paraphrased)."

So when the state is only reporting "bed count" as a percentage of the 15% of actual space...

If I kept 85% of a pie from you fatties and told you that you have to split that 100 ways, you'd be a little pissed that there was 6 times as much pie that I never told you about or shared, ya?

So once over 50 is vaccinated, which is almost 100% of the hospitalizations in Ohio, can our state FINALLY disregard arbitrary rules that only the top secret models control vs the actual data??

Ohio never saw the overwhelming numbers after Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years that our governor went on TV every Tuesday to issue grave warnings... about things that never happened.

Dude, I'm up at 5:30am working out in my house while you're whining about not being able to go to the gym. Set up your own gym. If you don't have the room to do that then be more successful and buy a bigger house.

You don't want to find out that you have an underlying condition you didn't know about when you're coughing up pink sputum through your vent in a hospital bed.

No, but that's just me. Some people think because they're young or do push ups that they're immune and F everyone else.

I appreciate what you're trying to do, but you have to understand that the CoronaBros in here have lapped up everything Fauci and CNN have told them since the beginning - nothing is going to change their mind now.  And despite the fact that everyone in CVON suddenly became an expert in physical fitness over the weeked (LOL), most of them of terrified because they're in the target group of those most affected (old or fat).  Toaster is both old AND fat.  You might have better luck convincing EagleVA that the Earth is round.

You are a freaking moron....that much we all know in CVON.

You're not going to catch COVID on an outdoor walking path.  You're in the vicinity of another walker for about, what, 3 seconds as you pass?  As long as they're not sneezing on you, I guaran-F'ing-tee you that your risk of tripping over the next curb and killing yourself by hitting your head than catching COVID while walking in opposite directions past one another.

You're more likely to catch COVID from someone you know (work, friend, family) than a stranger.  Outdoor mask use is dumb.  It helps "some"???? No, it helps a whole hell of a lot.

You all don't make any sense.
