Practice them, do them carefully. Pushups also work wonders.

I asked for Crestor because I tend to tolerate drugs the same way as her. So far just weird dreams. There is also a supplement called Cholestoff that some people have success with that you can buy over the counter - it's basically plant sterols. Interesting. That's what my dad and I were both on. We both went off it. He's on crestor no with no issues.

I was a strict classic gym goer and weight lifter for years. It is great because it requires almost no space and is relatively safe compared to other weight lifting practices. Highly recommend.
March 16, 20214 yr After years of being a certain weight I have found that if you lose the weight your body will just put it back on unless you work out like a maniac to just maintain it.

I've heard a few people say they had bad side effects with Lipitor but for whatever reason it seems to be the default go-to when prescribing statins.

I think it was all the rage right before the pharma companies had to stop paying off docs to prescribe it and its popularity stuck
March 16, 20214 yr OK. So you guys got me all confused and I actually just had my latest labs pulled up. LDL - 105 HDL - 136 Trig - 42 Total - 253 Guess my total is high, but that's due to the HDL, which isn't bad.

Weren't the guidelines revised to now use a ratio of HDL to total rather than strictly looking at the total alone?

That's exactly why I'd like to be with a trainer when starting weightlifting. 32 minutes ago, BirdsFanBill said: Because of the gym closing, I switched to pretty much all kettlebell training since like last March. That's exactly why I'd like to be with a trainer when starting weightlifting. If everyone who wanted to get in shape needed a trainer then nobody would be in shape. Watch YouTube videos if you need to. Read articles. Watch yourself in the mirror. People figure it out all the time. Just use light weight to start with and you'll be fine.
March 16, 20214 yr Also, all you fatties should pony up a couple benjis for a coronary artery calcium scan. Another data point instead of just relying on serum cholesterol levels. I did it mostly for the piece of mind, but also to have as a baseline to reference against when I get scanned again in the future. Everyone younger than 45 with a non-zero score is at risk and should talk to their doc about going on a statin or try harder to be less fat. That you includes you too, Buckeye Manboobs.

That's the difference.
