March 22, 20215 yr my doctor's office was in the local news because they're charging co-pays for the vaccines. i had to pay one for mine...hell, they even charged me a co-pay for my "well" visit. i won't raise a stink until after i get my 2nd vaccine in a couple weeks. but they're scummy af.

March 22, 20215 yr Not to feed the monster of pessimism that is Joe shades, but this new 526 variant from NY bears keeping an eye on. It has the same E484K mutation seen in the SA variant so it's reasonable to assume this will eventually become predominant in hotspots like we've seen with that one. One issue is that, for whatever reason, we still suck large hairy donkey balls at testing/sequencing to better understand variant spread. Not sure if that's a CDC failure, an administration failure, or both, but it's pretty inexcusable after 12 months now.

Haha, that's funny, because I literally just sent this article to a female friend and I told her that it was payback for women making up the "man flu" thing. I reality, though, I don't think it came out of nowhere. A lot of guys act like whiny beyotches when they're sick. I hardly ever get sick, so I don't have much of a personal reference, but when I was a kid, I was not the type to fake being sick or exploit a minor illness to tsay home. In fact, I usually had to be convinced I was too sick to go to school, so I think I generally handle illness well.

Search out his med license online and see if he has a history of fraud or malpractice attached to it. I spent a decade investigating medical insurance fraud in the Philly area and usually doctors that do crap like this have a history. I automatically research any new doctor my family goes to.
March 22, 20215 yr If he is charging you a copay, he is probably billing your insurance for an office visit. If all he is doing is administering a vaccine with no exam, I'd be curious how he is justifying the office visit billing code in the medical records.
