I know this is an amusing image, but even at its height unemployment rates among millennials was like 14%, and that was very brief. many more had hours reduced, but most people managed to keep employment through the recession. 14% is certainly high, but it still means that 6 out of 7 were working.

At my hospital almost everyone had at least some side effects after he second dose of Moderna and Pfizer. Mostly 25-45 year olds. The older employees didn’t have any issues. Small sample size but I’ve heard the same from other places as well. I’m 42 and was shivering in bed for around 5 hours the night of shot two. Managed to make it in to work the next day because I’m not a millennial but it was a rough night. Yeah, that seems to be pretty consistent with people I've known that have gotten the vaccine.

I've been drinking more and have probably been less active overall, but it still hasn't been enough to offset my overall improvement. People could've used this experience to better themselves, but unfortunately, most of us seem to have doubled-down on degeneracy.

March 23, 20214 yr My sister got her 2nd dose Saturday. She said she felt pretty miserable on Sunday, but by Monday am was feeling better. Moderna. I am actually OK waiting a little bit. I am scheduled for a mammogram in Apr so I don't need my body reacting to something and having a picture taken that could possibly lead to more tests. I have anxiety enough going through this protocol. Once done with this, I will hunt a shot down. No worries there. My daughter opted out of the J&J the Gov put out for educators. I couldn't believe it! She said they have had staffing issues clear through Wednesday the last 2 weeks. Still time to work on her. I think it was this particular vaccine, and that it was just sprung on them quickly.

I am a millennial and put on weight this past year. I ended up shredding it after October, but yeah "two weeks to slow the spread” was not fun. I do not live in my moms basement and do not eat fast food. I found out the hard way that alcohol has 7 Calories/gram.

I'm also not surprised it would be more heavily felt by the demographics most impacted by the increased unemployment & underemployment. I just think 29 lbs is a HELLUVA lot of weight. I'd also want to know what a typical year looks like. most people gain weight as they get older and enter the workforce; metabolism slows, activity level often drops when employment increases, marriage & kids crowds out that time more. if in a typical non-COVID year weight gain among those who had undesired weight gain was say 20 lbs, well that 29 lbs looks a lot different.

I'm technically a millennial, too (I identify as a gen x since I'm right on the border). I never stopped working though and my kids really only missed baseball and softball in the spring so I still was running them places. Everything just moved outside. I also have 2+ acres with a shitton of gardens to maintain, mulch, etc...keeps me active and busy. Ash bores have done a number on trees here too. Have six trees to cut down and cut up. That should put me in traction for a week.
