When did the director of the CDC say that there's "no evidence" that masks limit the spread of the virus?

Ok so the CDC thought masks prevented the spread but didn't recommend them  ?

I don't see how masks can hurt, but I do know that my daughter got it, and my wife and I didn't.  We didn't isolate her in her room, and we didn't wear masks at home.  I gave her a hug every night before bed.

Makes no damn sense.

Dude, you failed TWICE in one post. The Tweet you posted didn't even make the claim that you made  (there's no evidence that masks work), and it came from a period when we were A) just beginning to learn about the virus and (as has been repeated ad nauseum)  B) at a time when there weren't enough masks to supply healthcare workers.

In all reality, it's probably because I'm just so incredibly powerful that the virus didn't even want to risk entering my body.  I'm not saying it, but other people definitely are.

Yes, under Trump the CDC was a joke. Bad enough the president and lied and play moron (and a lot you do turdflakes lapped it up) - the virus was a hoax that would disappear during the election.

Trump hobbled and prevented Fauci from speaking in every way and finally appointed a bunch of lying dipsticks.

If you can add 1+1=2 then you can figure out that if the CDC did not recommend masks it is because they didn't think they helped prevent the spread, oh wait they lied to us. I assume everyone is wearing multiple masks correct? that is what they recommend

There were two reasons: A) They were not yet convinced that the primary route of transmission was through aerosols and B) They wanted to ensure that there were enough masks to supply healthcare workers. Once A) Enough research had been conducted to prove the link between COVID and aerosols and B) Mask production and distribution kicked into overdrive and we had enough to supply the general population, they (like scientists do when they learn things) CHANGED THE GUIDANCE TO ALIGN WITH NEW INFORMATION AND CHANGED CIRCUMSTANCES.

But go ahead, keep being totally wrong if that's your thing.

I just want to marvel at this. I'm not even going to make a nursing home joke.

this was so obvious at the time. i remember the wife & i watching while they said how important masks were for healthcare workers but for the general public to not buy them. then the wife went on amazon & bought a bunch

This is why my dude Ron DeSantis is the frontrunner to be the challenger in 2024. Let's GOOO!

This isn't the first time he's posted as if he's Joe Biden

Some one should explain the Supremacy Clause to FloridaMan.

   Look at you pretending like you won't be back on the Trump Train in 2024.  $50 says you're on here in 2024 explaining how you voted for Trump because DeSantis was too liberal.

It is kind of funny that a thread full of libs who have pretty much worshipped Fauci and the CDC don't have any reaction to the director of the CDC basically saying exactly what Joe Shades has been saying all along. Their reaction is to just ignore it and yell at Shades even more.

I can't speak for liberals of Biden supporters, but my reaction is that she's not good at her job and should probably be replaced. While it's a given fact that Biden is the greatest president of all time, he probably needs to find someone more suited to head up the CDC. I hear Hunter Biden is available. Best to trust family with this.

No, if it's between Trump and DeSantis, I'll go DeSantis every time. More electable (because he's less despised than Trump) in a younger package. No one is going to want to go for another elderly candidate after what Biden will put us through for four years.

Not sure if you saw the CNN special last night that had interviews with Fauci, Birx, Redfield and others. Was pretty interesting -- makes you really appreciate the impossible situation Birx was in. Both Fauci and Redfield confirmed the driving force was PPE shortages -- they didn't want a run on masks from the public hoarding. Once they determined how wide spread the asymptomatic spread was, that cloth masks were effective, and that healthcare workers had supplies they changed the guidance.

Not sure why you keep giving the clown the attention he so desperately desires.

Texas cases are down from what? They were higher yesterday than they were the day before. They had over 3,000 new cases yesterday. Your ridiculous posts about variants have been disproven. People that refuse the vaccine are Trumpbots that will likely die. Not my problem. I'll be fine.

Most of us are tired of your act. At least KZ is sort of funny with his trolling.
