Dealing with some rashes on my hands, arm, face.... doctor believes it is not related to covid vaccine as the rashes that have been reported are mostly after first dose, not second and those that have been reported were more "hives looking"... mine is in specific locations and is weeping

Probably some delayed contact dermatitis due to some gardening.  It's annoying either way.

How long from when you got your second dose until when it showed up? There's something called "covid arm" where a rash can occur up to a week post-injection.

I had cuts and scrapes on my RIGHT arm/hand and on LEFT hand from outdoor pruning and weeding which i did on sunday.  The shot went into my LEFT arm on Tuesday.  They started to become rashy on Thursday into Friday but 95% of it is around the cuts and scrapes on my RIGHT arm, around the cuts and scrapes.... nothing at injection site.  Two small places on left hand, also near cuts.

I've just never had a delayed contact dermatitis reaction like this before and i don't even know what i touched.

Yea doesn't sound related to the injection then.

I've already started to see a fair amount of contact derm from poison ivy etc FWIW. So certainly plausible.

Certainly possible but i don't believe i have ever gotten poison ivy in my 40 years before this past week, if accurate.

I'm just curious (completely anecdotal) if the shot made my body more hyper-sensitive to something that never bothered me in the past... especially since it didn't mainfest until almost 4 days after the contact.

Good news Joe!  New Cases dropped by over 29,000 from yesterday.  We went from 85,514 to 56,490!

Cherry picking statistics is fun.

Isn't that great news?!?!?!?

Some people just develop allergies or sensitivity later in life. I swore that I was immune to poison when I was a kid, but now I get it bad if I don't really take precaution. It also seems to really show up around 2-3 days after contact.

You mean like how the trend was lower during the downturn when you would cite the slightest day to day increase? :o

Speaking of anti vaxxers what happened to KZ?

Actually at that time cases were starting to trend upwards

Well it is a pointless discussion, fact is now cases are rising. One vaccine although safe is paused giving fuel To the nut jobs. It is not a good situation right now.

I thought I was immune to poison ivy - one of the many times my older brother was kicking my ass in the Wissahickon valley, three of the people there came back covered, including him. I found out it didn't bother me.

I was the ivy puller after that.

Fast forward twenty years, got poison oak one year - now I get poison ivy too. Not bad, but enough so I have to treat it.

PS - calamine lotion sucks, Ivy-Dry is basically rubbing alcohol and tannic acid dries that stuff up good.

The oil from the plant gets everywhere. Wash everything with something that will cut grease.

Just in case you guys like nightmares:

If poison ivy is burned and the smoke then inhaled, this rash will appear on the lining of the lungs, causing extreme pain and possibly fatal respiratory difficulty.
