I mean Florida is gonna Florida but those people in no way represent the nation. Yeah, Montco, not so much, but in Bucks, I see a TON. A guy I work with had a neighbor grab for his mask in the market, "Why are you wearing that thing!!?!?" Near Perkasie

CALAMINE IS USELESS. IVY-DRY WORKS. SO DOES A TEABAG IN ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL (which I used when I couldn't find's Ivy Dry anywhere) - THIS STAINS BADLY. THE OIL IS NOW EVERYWHERE YOU TOUCHED WHEN YOU CAME HOME. DOORS. ARMS OF CHAIRS. PEOPLE SAY THE STUFF IN THE BLISTERS SPREADS IT - NOT TRUE - THE OIL FROM THE PLANT An Eagle Scout friend of mine used to scratch open all the blisters and then wash with bleach. This seems a little extreme to me. My son had terrible reactions and he did just that. Bleach. Fells Napa soap works well. Had to be put on steroids a couple of times when he was young. He still reacts to it, but not as bad. Hope he's not dumb enough to burn it. Maybe I should mention it.

There's going to be people like that but I'd say it's far and few between around here. I haven't been out but for essentials and kids sports so I'm not maybe exposed to the idiocy as much. Went out to eat about 4 times in the last year.
April 13, 20214 yr I was in Wawa the other day and saw a mask-less man. It was like he was mocking all of us in the store that had one on with that smug look on his face. Somehow he felt superior to everyone else? Well let me know how that works out for ya dude! I think I heard an employee offer him one, but he refused, thankfully did not make a scene. Can't fix stupid.

I'm sure it's happening but I haven't seen it near as much as I expected to. I live damn near right on the county line between Montco and Bucks and I can't remember seeing anyone in a store without a mask in the last year. I was up in Lehighton, PA and stopped in the Walmart up there and was mentally preparing myself for people to be walking around without masks. I didn't encounter a single person without one. It was a pleasant surprise.

April 13, 20214 yr most folks wear masks in stores...where it's required. the issues you'll see are people getting together and/or hanging out in local bars & sheet where the owners don't give a crap about covid. i remember one of you bucks county bozos posting about going to some local bar where nobody wore a mask & the owner made fun of masks. @redden, maybe.

That was redden. I haven't sat at a bar since my first kid 10 years ago.
April 13, 20214 yr I haven't been in a WalMart in ages, however, I think I will go and get some supplies/vitamins stuff I am running low on. The grocery store prices are up, and especially for supplies and what not. I'll see if Wally World can be just a little kinder to my wallet.
April 13, 20214 yr I'm just tired of seeing the same jerks with a mask on pulled below their nose. What I see in society is just mimicked by their idiot kids in the schools. Like, if you're such a rebel and want to show us how much you don't care, just don't even bother. These people want a happy medium where they can flout the rules but give the appearance of compliance to insulate themselves from reprimand. They want to feel big and bad, but they're actually timid, so they play dumb to protect themselves with plausible deniability. Acting like you "didn't know" or it was "accidental" when you literally look like that at all times is just insulting to my intelligence. If you want to be an a$sole, own it.
April 13, 20214 yr I food shop from time to time - mostly because I tend to be awake at 5am and don't mind going there early. Always 2 or 3 old men with the mask on under the nose, shuffling along.

To be quite frank I don't know that we'll go back to mostly in store shopping. It's easier and way more convenient for us since we're always running around with the kids. I just go in to pick out steaks anymore. Stuff my chest freezer with a whole pig once a year and if I have room a quarter steer.

Every now and then, they will not get great produce so i'll probably go back to purchasing my own produce but then let them do the remainder of my shopping.
April 13, 20214 yr instacart..every time. as for walmart/sam's club...i would never set foot in a walmart...and the wife has discovered that the prices for sam's club online are sometimes cheaper than prices in the store...so she buys online & has it shipped. win/win.
April 13, 20214 yr I'm old school I guess. I don't want others picking out my food. Now that I'm by myself, going to a store is an adventure for me. I can surely see though, how curb sides and instacart are saving you all some time.

I do like picking my own but I'm not running to a store just for produce.
April 13, 20214 yr some grocery stores also have curbside pickup that's cheaper than instacart...you place your order online & they bring it right out to your '72 datsun 240z
April 13, 20214 yr Instacart works well for most items, less so for others. Aside from the weird substitution suggestions, apparently these people don't know what ripe means when it comes to avocados or bananas, or the difference between cilantro and parsley, or that short ribs means beef not spare ribs, etc. Can be frustrating when you have to go back out or change what you planned on making for dinner because people are stupid.

The wife goes to a local butcher and a local market for meat and produce, but there are things we need from the supermarket. Maybe once a month I go.
April 13, 20214 yr I don't know man, I have two young kids and we both work full time and somehow we still manage to grocery shop for ourselves. I'll never understand having other people do your grocery shopping.
