what you seem to keep missing is that even if you're at lower risk for death you can still pass it on if you contract it. 

the studies are ongoing, but it stands to reason that when the viral load is reduced by the vaccine (which it is) that the reproducibility of the virus is reduced significantly (which early observational studies are showing).

it's not about you, you selfish twit. even if you're "taking care of yourself" and reducing your chances of dying from the virus, you can still help EVERYBODY ELSE that you interact with by having the vaccine and reducing (most likely very significantly) the amount of the virus your body can retransmit into the air.

I've encouraged people with underlying health conditions and comorbidities to get the vaccines. In this very thread, in fact.

Yet, you have NO IDEA if there are any long-term effects or consequences of getting the vaccine because there ARE NO LONGITUDINAL STUDIES.

So, again, if everyone that has a high chance of dying after contracting covid gets vaccinated, then why would you also vaccinate a healthy population if it doesn't prevent them from catching it, passing it on, etc.? It reduces their chance of hospitalization and death???? I just posted the raw statistics and NONE of you fear-mongering dewschebags want to dispute it! THIS DOES NOT KILL HEALTHY PEOPLE. It's a complete lack of understanding of epidemiology and I'm done doing your homework for you.

It's a calculated risk, but there is no reason to believe that there are long-term consequences of the vaccines. But we DO know that there are long-term effects associated with COVID. 

I don't believe that most vaccines end up having longitudinal studies before they are approved for general consumption, because the nature of longitudinal studies requires that they be utilized for a long enough time period to have a longitudinal study. 

And I already stated that it's almost certain that the vaccine helps reduce the chances of developing an infection, passing it on to others, and significantly reduces the severity if you do end up developing an infection. 

And it DOES kill healthy people. In fewer numbers, but that stands to reason because they're healthier. BUT THEY CAN STILL PASS IT ON. And they can still develop an infection. And if they had the vaccine, maybe 1. they don't develop an infection because the virus never reaches critical mass, and 2. they pass it on to 0.5 people on average rather than 2-3. 

So while you can sit there and whine about how it "doesn't kill healthy people" (which is false), you dismiss the near certainty that as more people are vaccinated the virus finds it harder and harder to reproduce even among "healthy people" which will SAVE LIVES.
