April 26, 20214 yr We haven't gone out a whole lot, but I'd be lying if I said we've never broken the rules. We've had my parents and the wife's parents over, took the kids out for Trick-or-Treating, gathered at Christmas/Easter, had a few nights out with friends, gone out for dinner, etc. It obviously hasn't been as frequent as pre-Covid, but we haven't shut ourselves out of society either. It helps to live in an area where the caseload is low so we assess the risks and go from there.

It's a miracle we're still alive.
April 26, 20214 yr Well, my building just announced that we're closed through Thursday. 7 positives in the last 14 days. I'm guessing it's students, because most of the teachers and staff should be vaccinated by now.

April 26, 20214 yr It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt.
April 27, 20214 yr Export restrictions expected to be lifted soon. Large shipments of doses should be hitting Canada, Mexico, and the EU in the next few weeks.

I want to say that goat herders in Afghanistan are equally as dumb, but it's getting harder to hold that position. Trump supporters are literally the dumbest people on the entire planet. Congratulations.
April 27, 20214 yr In other vaccine news, novavax should be readying phase III results soon, so that should help out the EU too. They also were part of an effort that developed a malaria vaccine too that's supposedly pretty effective compared to prior vaccines.

INCREDIBLE development and unfortunately it will largely be swept under the rug with all the COVID news. Still incredibly impressive and has the potential for massive global impact.
