I can afford to take my family to Applebee's once a month - some months we even splurge and hit up Red Lobster! I'm wealthy enough to be able to go to Red Lobster whenever I want and not worry about what we are ordering. Like, not every day, but 2 maybe 3 times a week.

April 27, 20214 yr Stay on topic, If you took the vaccine but it didn't work and now you will die from covid, what would your final meal be?

April 27, 20214 yr I've been cutting down on red meat, so I've been almost exclusively eating McDonalds chicken nuggets. Fun Fact: Did you all know they come in 4 different shapes?
April 27, 20214 yr People in the medical filed seem to be coming around to the idea that COVID-19 is an endemic.

Now Chili's on the other hand...legit when craving crap food. Cheesecake Factory too. EDIT: In high school, we used to go to Chili's and order the bottomless chips and a drink with free refills. They'd usually toss us out after like an hour.

The rest of it...yeah pretty much.

Hard to say right now with the variants throwing a wrench into things, but I wouldn't be shocked to see covid end up being roughly as prevalent as tuberculosis in a few years, where it becomes endemic in the third world, but an afterthought in the first world. You'll have pockets of outbreaks in some states in the next few years, but at some point, I think community spread just becomes unsustainable. Immunity durability is a factor too, but I have few doubts vaccines will only improve from here and they're already really damn good, so I'm not as worried about that. Even so, if durability is less than 2 years, then maybe this whole episode boosts annual flu shot compliance to the 60-70% range, and then it's maybe as simple as going to a combined flu shot / covid booster annually if needed.

The flu still averages, what, like 50K per year? Wouldn't coronavirus be more comparable to that than something like tuberculosis?
