I'm still holding out on going back to the office. Not so much COVID related, my company was pretty responsible in its management of health and safety in the office. I just hate commuting.

I might be one of these "quit before I return to the office" people. I have some options, and working from home just has too many advantages.

I worked at home exclusively for 4 years at my last company, only going in for certain meetings when people from out of town were visiting.  My team was global so my boss was in London, and team in other cities.  I saw more people travelling to other cities and countries than I did in my local office.  At my new job, I was always hybrid from the beginning.  My previous boss was more gung ho about people being in the office so I did 2 days at home, then it became 3.  My new boss doesn't care as long as the work gets done so I work from home most of the time even before COVID.  Now, he says he doesn't care if I come in at all but we're doing 1 day a week for our team to get face time, although we have other team members in other states so really it's just for some social time.  I like working at home, but it is also nice to see people.  We have a lot of fun things they plan to keep people gathering.  Once a month office happy hour, our CEO is an amateur mixologist he likes to tend bar.  Our VP of HR's husband is a sommelier and had a wine tasting for us.  But I do prefer working at home to not have a commute, save gas, more flexibility for family and going to local appointments and things.

I mean who didn't see this coming?  Even after the libs got the vaccine, they're still masking up because it makes them feel "more secure".  It's the adult version of a pacifier.

At the grocery store the other day, saw a woman with 2 masks, some weird headgear strap thing that was holding them onto her head, latex gloves and some weird plastic sleeves under her t-shirt.  I mean that was the type of thing we saw when it first started but to still see that now was very odd.

Oh my god, are you ok? How did it go?

You should be asking the people who had to see his face.

yeah my guess is I'll land on still going into the office one day a week. My team is not being asked to come back to the office, though some do want to have a day or two (especially the new dad who wants to get out of the house lol). But they're asking managers/etc. to at least come in 1-2 days a week. Going to try and just make it in mondays and work the rest of the week from home, we'll see.

I can't understand anyone's rationale for wearing a mask after being vaccinated. Before it was "CDC guidelines". Well, the CDC said you don't have to wear it anymore.

maybe she has some sort of high-risk, pre-existing condition.

just depends on what the situation is. I can't deny that I've been less impacted by seasonal illnesses that usually plague me in the fall and spring, though allergies this spring have been pretty awful. I'm considering wearing a mask when I do yard work so I don't spend the entire evening sneezing and looking like I just smoked a pound of labrador.

though, sometimes it's a contributing factor..

And if you’re still unvaccinated, why would you keep wearing a mask when there’s a readily available vaccine??

People are so weird.

Yeah, it's called being an ishlib. It's a severe mental illness for which there is no cure.

I doubt the unvaccinated people are the ones still wearing the masks.

There are reasons .. I gave my personal reasons in a prior post.

I know.

I got both shots and stopped wearing mine.

Several studies came out saying the vaccine was effective in stopping people from passing the virus.

The virus is still running rampant among people who aren’t vaccinated though.

Sorry, I'm sure I missed that.

If I go somewhere with my 11-y-o, I ask her to wear her mask.  We went to the mall the other day.

My kids still wear them to stores.  Until the mandate is lifted completely in a couple weeks they can live with it.  Some loons in our school district have been throwing a fit about kids still having to wear them at school.  Hey tards, the kids have 4 days of school left.  They made it an entire school year with them.  They'll be fine.  The one elementary school is allowing no masks because of no AC in the building (my district started 2 weeks late because construction on one school wasn't finished by the start of the year so the whole flipping district started late) . District already said unless there is a significant development they won't need to wear them next school year.  Find something better to do Karens!

Imagine being triggered by a stuffed animal.   JFC Rebekah

I didn't seen this coming from a 3rd wave feminist named Rebekah:

Quote

Political consultant[edit]

Wolf  Rebekah was involved in Bill Clinton's 1996 re-election bid, brainstorming with the president's team about ways to reach female voters.[8] Hired by Dick Morris, she wanted Morris to promote Clinton as "The Good Father", and a protector of "the American house".[25] She met with him every few weeks for nearly a year, Morris wrote in his book about the campaign, Behind the Oval Office

She was also a consultant for Gore

Yeah, she was the most influential feminist of the 90s.  It would make sense that Dems sought her advice I guess.
