Haven't wanted a glass of wine all week. Had a couple coughing spells and have an annoying headache.  Scheduled a test for tomorrow morning.  No fever.  Just need to know if I've been walking around with this virus without my mask, vaccinated, hopefully not spreading it, but if I do have it the shot is doing what it is supposed to.  Don't feel right, and I don't have any motivation despite the lovely stretch of weather we are having. Something is not right, possibly I'm just losing it.  At least I'll know tomorrow.

Wishing you all the best, Di.

If it upsets you then absolutely.

I agree. I can make telephone calls, respond to e-mail, and crunch spreadsheets just as well in a home office as a cubicle.

Yeah, it makes no sense to return to the office only to have a TEAMS video confrence call when you need to contact someone.

I'm going to go ahead and keep believing people were smarter before Twitter.

Both of my kids and my wife have been sick this week. cough, stuffy nose. One had a Mild fever for less than 24 hrs.  Kids aren’t vaccinated but tested negative for covid. Wife is vaccinated.  I’m fine.  I have several friends with kids the same age and experiencing the same things this week.  There is another virus going around that is not covid.  And should not come as a surprise that people are getting sick after wearing masks for 18 months and not being exposed to anything more than their own slobber and germs and now people taking masks off and being out and about more.

don’t sweat it, I’m sure it’s just a random bug.

This fall is going to suck when the real flu starts going around.

New Covid study hints at long-term loss of brain tissue

Voluntarily subject yourself to life-long brain damage to own the libs!

This just proves that KKz & Tha Gang had covid long before it was a thing because they don’t have a Fing brain cell to share.

The study says could be, not is responsible. They'll need a lot more meaningful data before they can prove causation. I'm not saying they won't prove it eventually, but that it's hard to prove without pre-infection brain scans for comparison. In other words, don't jump the gun on Covid-19 causing loss of brain tissue.

Too late, gun is already jumped!

The U.K. study examined brain imaging before and after a coronavirus infection and looked specifically at the potential effect on the nervous system

Yeah, but that's the whole point. It's a new virus, so we have no clue what the long term ramifications will be since we don't have any long term survivors. But there is some anecdotal evidence of impact to the brain, lungs and heart.

This is why anti-vaxxers are so unbelievably idiotic. Guys like our former poster ObeseBuckeye who screamed that his chances of dying were low (despite the fact that he was fat), so why get the vaccine. This is why. Also, I'm guessing the correlation between those who are anti-vaxxers and those who believe this was created in a lab is high (which, for the record, I think is true but obviously can't be certain). Well, if you think this was created in a lab, potentially as a bio-weapon, isn't it plausible it will have long-term negative effects that can't be predicted?

The lack of logical consistency among these people is ridiculous. Or said another way -- people are dumb.

Ol Di is negative for covid19.  Thank you @Gannan and @DBW good to know others are not well without having covid.  Makes sense it could be something else.  The tech suggested allergies but I don't think so.  I am feeling better today from yesterday.  Headache is gone, but my joints still hurt especially my thigh bones!  Drinking ish tons of water, advil, claratin, chicken soup for lunch.  Hope all of you and yours are faring well now.

Sad but true. There are a host of unknowns that'll likely become clearer over time including long term effects of infection. Personally, I'll be interested in that information as I was infected back in December of 2020 before a vaccine was available to me. Whether the virus began in a lab or in nature shouldn't have any effect on an individual accepting a vaccine that so far, has been proven effective and relatively safe. No vaccine in history has been 100% problem free across the world population. It just gives the most people possible, the best chance of not dying from the infection. If dumb people wish to temp fate, then let them. Natural selection is still a thing.

Since this was found even in those with mild symptoms, we need to stop with the nonsense that granting an EUA for kids is too risky because "they aren't even affected by covid."

Well, with damage to the central nucleus of the Amygdala, how long until violent criminals start trying the Covid-19 defense. "My fight or flight response is out of control so although I didn't intend to harm that person, it just happened on it's own...blah, blah, blah..." Someone is going to try, and it should be entertaining.

Probably easier and more expedient if their lawyer just goes on national TV and calls their client F'ing retarded.
