Guys... Covid is a very new virus. What little information we have does not have enough of a time variable to make any hard conclusions when it comes to the efficacy of drugs, therapies, etc.

It sucks, but we just don't know how things will go in the long run. That doesn't mean you ignore vaccines or masks or whatever, but it's going to take a decade to really draw strong conclusions.

If you're trying to do research to see if a drug is effective against a virus, then use randomized blind clinical trials that are published in peer reviewed medical journals, not a Joe Rogan podcast ffs.....

We went to the Florida one (I saw a few Eagles shirts/jerseys, including a DeVonte Smith tshirt, but not a hat).  The first day we got into the park an hour early since we stayed at one of the hotels.  We went to the Hagrids ride, which was a 90 min wait once we got back to it.  After about an hour, the ride broke down.  They didn’t know what the issue was.  We waited for about an hour (gradually moving up as people left the line).  At that point the kids couldn’t take it anymore so we got out of line.  No later do we get back to the lockers, the ride is back up and running.  I think we got into the park at 7, and went for lunch at 11:30 managing to do 2 rides.  It wasn’t a good sign, but by the end of the third day, we were able to do all of the rides we wanted to between both parks.

Unfortunately at universal it’s really gotten to the point where you have to just pay the extra for the fast pass tickets. I live about an hour away and used to go often but the insane crowds have made it so it’s not enjoyable anymore. Especially in the 95 degree summer.

Separately, if there is to be a proactive outreach to get vaccinated it should be coming from people's personal doctors. The source matters, and at least for many there is a trusted relationship with a doctor you've been seeing perhaps for years. 

The final decision should be between the patient and their PCP. Putting govt in the middle is just going to get people to dig in their heels. Make an appeal to primary care doctors to reach out to their patients, fund it if need be but the doctors (or at least their offices) should be the ones who make the calls.

Went to a funeral today. Had to mask up since it was over 30 people. The pastor said it was because of singing, which is apparently a good way to spread the disease.

Makes sense, I guess.

One of the early super spreader events that made news was I believe a church choir from Seattle or thereabouts. Singing is a great way to get all your viruses out in the air, and other people inhaling deeply to sing is a great way it make sure you get a big viral, uh, load.
