We will be past you on the full in a month and never look back. Yeah I was kind of chuckling at the Republican’s reaction to the Biden administration wanting to go door-to-door. Like it’s some Gestapo crap and not a public health initiative. We’re effed.

Only 331 of those deaths have been from COVID — less than half as many as have died of pneumonia. In 2019, more than 2,000 American kids and teenagers died in car crashes; each year, according to some estimates, about a thousand die from drowning. This analogy is silly. We already have taken many steps as a society to keep kids safe when they travel in cars, none of which included "banning cars". And again I'll say that death isn't the only metric, and we're still struggling to understand the long-term impacts of disease on kids.

Higher health care premiums seems like the way to go. btw - This is a not so little side effect of having the situation get so political. Trump gets most of the credit for that but not all of it.

This is a dumb argument since kids can pass COVID to those more at risk. It's not as black and white as "Kids don't die". If the vaccine is safe, everyone should be getting it. It's kind of crazy that this is an argument.
July 20, 20214 yr Sell those vaccines to the world that wants them. Enough is enough, let Darwinism take over in red America.

People aren't dropping dead from these vaccines. You literally just made an argument about how water is more dangerous to kids than COVID. By that logic, water is even MORE dangerous to children than vaccines.

July 20, 20214 yr In my opinion the masks mandates aren’t to protect the vaccinated. It’s because there’s no way to know who has had the vaccine and who hasn’t in public settings.

You must either raise your kids to eat right and exercise, or they must be fat and you need to give them a vaccine. Good call. And you can keep pretending death is the only consequence if that's how you want to justify your refusal to get your kids vaccinated. They're your kids, after all. It's ultimately up to you to do what you think is right for them, not anyone else.

Death isn't the only metric when it comes to kids being affected by covid. There are many other complications caused by even seemingly mild cases of covid in kids, like MIS-C, myocarditis, pulmonary fibrosis, etc. We already know the virus readily crosses the blood brain barrier and anosmia or long-covid is associated with shrinkage of brain tissue based on imaging from a UK study. There's still a lot we have left to learn about how this disease impacts our bodies. All I know is that I don't want to live with the regret of falling to protect my kids because I underestimated the risks based on incomplete data. I don't know, a random moron on the internet is pretty compelling against expert advice from doctors and epidemiologists who have spent their entire careers studying viruses and treating patients..
