None. I've seen several people try to write it off as an outlier.

In here or in the media or where? What are they writing off specifically?  The number of cases or the severity of the cases or what? I’m interested in getting updates on the data.

Here and some articles I've read that claimed "real world efficacy" still appears to be extremely high rather than the 40% Israel is reporting.  This is in reference to just COVID cases, not severe ones.

The 40% was debunked a while back as there was a flaw in the stats. It is over 80% against delta if vaccinated. That’s the official Israeli number. Of course the situation is still very fluid.

Whatever the number actually it is it's definitely lower than 90-95% and that should be ok. People should not be freaking out because we're catching COVID. As long as people who are vaccinated aren't dying we should be business as usual. Those who have chosen to be unvaccinated have made their decision. The only true victims in all of this are the immunocompromised and healthcare workers.

Exactly. According to the current data the risk with delta for vaccinated individuals is very low and if they do get sick there is almost no chance of it being serious unless the person has underlying risks. Of course there are some rare exceptions.

Just got back from vacation in New England. Anecdotal, but I don't think masking is going to make a comeback. Even in liberal New England, and even after the CDC said to mask up again, virtually no one was wearing them and very few places even asked people to mask up. I also noticed how short staffed hotels and restaurants were. Some places told us up front they only had a few people working.

In PA for a basketball tournament this weekend and a few restaurants had signs saying they were short staffed as well.

You're just upset you didn't get an invite.

Must be tough having to decide how to phrase articles when you are both claiming COVID is not a big deal, but determined to make it a big deal whenever politics suits you.

They’re currently shopping in Walmart without a mask or underwear.

These tyrants are disgusting.

They want us in masks forever. Sick, disgusting people. Beneath contempt.

I feel like New England is behind the rest of the country when having to deal with the surge in cases. Once delta arrives and their cases go up, I think they'll begin to act differently.

Locally, it was a weird weekend. Half the neighborhood masked, half didn't. We're even back to people wearing facemasks improperly with their noses sticking out. Why are they even trying anymore?

In LA, the mask mandate seems to be accepted indoors. Seeing plenty of people with them on outside as well, which is nuts. I have mine in my pocket -- if I go into a place that requires a mask, I put it on.

It's still the wrong policy. Make the unvaccinated bear the risk. No vaccine, no insurance coverage. Freedom comes with consequences.

Yeah, but we can't ostracize the snowflakes too scared to put a little needle in their arm. Can't make them feel left out. If I got to wear one to set an example in public, fine. It's harmless.

The mask mandates are really only for the unvaccinated, but since you can’t tell who is vaccinated and who is not, everyone has to do it.  This is the classic example of a few people doing something bad and now everyone has to pay for it.  Like when a few people decided to throw snowballs at Santa Claus…
