If only we have tied the 2nd round of PPP to requiring vaccination proof starting 10/1. Exactly. Many business owners will tend to do the right thing anyway, but cash incentive certainly helps. Last year so many businesses closed up temporarily and sent their employees home because they were promised money to do so. You want them to do something? Give them money.

I haven't seen a mask at the store in months. We were at King of Prussia Mall the other day (wearing masks), mostly because we decided to finally use the GF's gift certificate to Cheesecake Factory that she got at Christmas two years ago. I was trying to do a rough-estimate of mask-wearing, and it was pretty low. It couldn't have been any more than 1/7 and was probably more like 1/10. Probably skewed a bit since people shopping at the mall are generally less COVID-conscious, but it was a still a bit disappointing, particularly when I saw a bunch of small, maskless children rolling around a playplace together.

I'd say order some wood and nails and hand her a hammer, but with the price of wood these days granny can make do with a sleeping bag. (not the good sleeping bag though.)

When the vaccine FIRST came out and a person was skeptical, I could understand that. Totally rational. But now that literally hundreds of millions of people around the world have taken it and it's proven safe, why not now? Makes no sense.

For some reason they think the vaccines are going to have an adverse impact years later even though literally no vaccine has EVER worked that way.
