No doubt that mutations in general are much more readily generated in unvaccinated populations. My point was that having basically 50/50 vaxxed/unvaxxed seems like a situation where you'll have a lot of mutations and a lot of opportunity for selection of those mutations against vaccinated populations, leading ultimately to the production of future variants that can more effectively evade the vaccine. I'm talking about evolutionary opportunity. It's true, though, that the ones getting infected and producing the mutations are the unvaxxed, so they are still the ones who are by far the most at risk.

That's too advanced and nuanced for most posters in here including the one you are addressing.  Vaccinations are great are stopping variant mutations until one arises that can out compete the prevalent strain during a context of a large mix of unvaccinated/vaccinated and then the game is at high risk of changing and doing so at 180 degrees.

The article sited is pure theory.  No trials were conducted.  No peer review.  Nothing other than some math projection based on observation and statistics that we know are underwhelming.  Is the premise and assertion in the article incorrect?  No one knows.  It certainly shouldn't be positioned as "evidence" of any sort and doesn't debunk a thing.  The jury on this topic remains out.

All states are seeing a surge in cases but over run hospitals are not happening in most places

West Virginia Wesleyan College says it will charge a $750 fee to students who aren't vaccinated for COVID-19 for the fall semester.

The school in Buckhannon also said in its campus arrival guidance for the upcoming semester that students who come down with the virus and can't quarantine off campus will be charged $250 to do so on campus, WDTV-TV reported.

The nonrefundable $750 fee will be charged to students who don't submit proof of vaccination or the first shot of vaccination by Sept. 7, the college said on its website.

"The fee is going to be used to cover the expenses that will come with increased testing and other resources that the college will have to utilize and deploy to keep every student safe,” Dean James Moore said.

The most hesitant were those with a High School diploma or less all the way up until the last month when those with a PhD were slightly above them. I'd love to know how many PhDs were actually in this study.

I don't interact with people that only have a masters degree. Sorry.

German nurse accused of swapping Covid vaccines for saline solution

"Today I had the sad duty to inform around 8,600 people who may have been affected that it cannot be ruled out they may have received a saline solution instead of their vaccination at their vaccination appointment. For peace of mind we would recommend people get an additional vaccination," Ambrosy said.
The nurse was able to replace the vials because she was "responsible for the preparation of vaccines and the preparation of syringes during her working hours in the vaccination center," health authorities in Lower Saxony said.

  • CDC admits it DID overcount Florida's COVID cases: Agency revises down state's weekend numbers from 28,000 to 19,000 but offers no explanation after falsely claiming 'record' infections

  • CDC has revised Florida's COVID-19 figures after the state Department of Health accused the agency of overcounting Sunday's totals
  • The federal health agency reported a new record of more than 28,000 cases on Sunday
  • Florida's DOH accused the CDC of combining multiple days' worth of data into one and that the true figure is really 15,000, which is an overcount of 15,000
  • The state reported 56,000 cases from Friday to Sunday and it is believed that the CDC split the total over two days - Saturday and Sunday - rather than three days
  • The CDC's updated Covid numbers, reporting 19,000 on Sunday, are still higher than the figures published by the DOH
  • Florida no longer reports daily COVID-19 cases, instead publicly revealing weekly counts every Friday

Wow. wow wow wow.

Peter Doocy's dad is Steve Doocy, one of the hosts of Fox and Friends.  Psaki smacks him down like that routinely.

Australia has gone full psycho police state in the blink of an eye. SciFi writers from two decades ago could only dream of this reality.

And several cult members in here praised their methods last year. DCotP.
