September 21, 20214 yr we "caught" another one at work weekly surveillance testing (rapid) turned up a "positive" culinary worker, no symptoms, followup PCR test was positive. worker is FULLY VACCINATED. this time instead of quarantining residents (thank god) they are going to be rapid tested every 3 days for 21 days (tests cost approx $10 each, 500+ residents at the facility). Facility is 100% vaccinated, residents, staff, even the "positive" culinary worker. Seems the vaccine works as designed, no symptoms, no one getting sick, so let's get on with life and learn to live with the virus.

That's the funny part about this particular antivax argument, every single side effect from the vaccine presents itself far more often and more severely with the disease it's designed to prevent. And if you believe covid is going to be endemic and everyone is eventually going to contract it, then you are making an insanely misinformed choice to refuse vaccination if you understand even the most basic tenets of statistics and probabilities. It would be one thing if the side effects were something totally unrelated like the horseshit retracted paper on autism or something we've actually seen in the past with guillan barre, but that's not the case here. If you're actually concerned about myocarditis, it's a no brainer, get the shot or deal with the far worse risk profile of getting infected.
