He said when vaccine doses were first available, since it wasn’t fully approved and was authorized for emergency use, they were recommending members of the military get it but not requiring. A lot of soldiers were saying no, purely because they weren’t used to having a choice and just wanted to exercise their option. 😆

Seems like Delta is more responsible but tough to say if that's because of increased exposure risk or because of immune escape. We likely won't know for sure until a delta targeted variant is trialed and then observed for waning 6 months after the fact.
