Will be interesting if he can keep his diet in check. Odds aren't in his favor

Its funny because when he limped in to the locker room during last nights game around halftime, the announcers were talking about him taking a knee to the thigh in the 1st quarter.

Not even close.

Also, this sounds like a sneaky way of saying turf toe. No one really strains foot tendons otherwise. Turf toe is usually an injury to the ligament of the big toe, but he could have injured the flexor hallicus muscle too. Or, they are referring to the plantar fascia as a tendon, and he has plantar fasciitis.

In either event, expect Harden to look slower when he returns.

Harden's injury likely saves Doc's job. The excuses are now built in.

maxey bout to put up some numbers & make the all-star game.

Good stats, bad team type numbers

Always excuses.

Already said in another thread-

Embiid missed a few already.

Harden to miss a month.  That takes us in to December.

All star break.

Then trade deadline. And buyouts.

Next thing you know it's February and the roster has recently undergone change.

Now you're at the playoffs and they're telling you after their 1st or 2nd round exit that they never had much of a chance to play together.  Wait till next year!

Took him 2 yrs to get over a pulled hammy .. this could be another 3-4 yrs

Yeah. We are screwed with him and Embiid as our big money players for the next few years.

Hammies are tough to get over so that is understandable but this he should be fine

Theyve needed to play their best players a lot because theyve been losing so those players need to be on the court more to try to come back and in the games.

Hard to blame him for playing the top guys. Imagine trailing, and giving those guys even less minutes. It would look like they conceded those games.

However, it is still certainly his fault. This team shouldnt suck as bad as it does. Theyre unathletic, but theyre talented enough to beat the Suprs and Wizards, which they failed to do.

Its also Morey's fault for constructing an old, slow, injury prone roster. The more big moves he has made, the further theyve gone from being competitors.

Or maybe don't play the starters for basically the whole quarter and stagger the rotations better. Apparently the bench is supposed to be an improvement on last year, yet they barely see the court and you're overworking guys early in the regular season resulting in them already breaking down and looking sluggish vs fresher competition

Good thing we upgraded the bench!

This team is 5th seed at best with everyone healthy and Doc as the coach

Nice that without Embiid and Harden, we will see Maxey really shine as The Guy. And Harris has an opportunity to showcase his scoring ability in a game where he really has to look to score all game long. Could maybe help us at the trade deadline. Maxey is off to a good start with 9 points. Harris is off to a really great start with 7, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists and a steal already.

27 for Maxey just starting the 4th. Maybe he goes for 40 again.

Maxey, Melton, and Harris are all off the court to start the quarter. Really relying on the bench this time.

Maxey has 7 assists, and Melton has 9. Gotta like that guard play.  Look how the ball moves without Embiid the black hole taking every shot, or harden pounding the ball in to the floor for most of the shot clock.

Question will be, do they have the horses to finish the game? Playoff time, no way

Well, Maxey has 2 points this quarter so.... thats a disappointing finish.

0 assists for he and Melton in this entire quarter as well.

Really nice guard play for 3 quarters, and then they basically stayed on the bench.

the executed the make one miss one and then Maxey bricked the 3 so bad. man that woulda been sweet for the young guy.
