Probably not but even if you trade him you likely aren’t getting great value back due to picks of that team likely end of first round and likely not getting a great young player and just role players. So i think they are screwed either way when they trade him

I keep coming back to the Knicks, they have decent parts and all their picks. The 2024 draft is Anthony Bennett level crap, but 2025 and 2026 drafts should be pretty good. 

Harden is terrible. That’s all.

combined 10/36 from harden/maxey/harris.  I won't blame embiid when he asks to be traded.

I can definitely see embiid getting all depressed again when Harden and Harris leave and requesting a trade. 

 

While NY has been the rumor,  he's not going to win there either. 

At this point in his career he might be smart to go ring chasing.  He's going to be 30 soon and he's not even been close. 

And he's not going to win one as the lead guy.  NY doesn't have an adequate supporting cast. 

He should try to go join LeBron and AD in LA. Or possibly Chicago, Miami, or Dallas.

Knicks don't have a supporting cast but then you mention Chicago, who can't make it out of the play in or Dallas who has a star and bunch of bench guys.

Brunson has out played Donovan Mitchell two years in a row now and have quality NBA players on that roster from Grimes, Hart, Quickley and their back up big could start on teams in Hartenstein

Embiid with DeRozan and LaVine would be good.  Some legit perimeter help. Not inconsistent like our guys.  Better than NY.

Because the spacing at all wouldn't be an issue with Chicago. 

Two of the top 5 in usage rate this year and then add Irving who is a heavy iso guy. That is deemed for success and tell me what assets Dallas even has? Josh Green is their only trade chip.

Milwaukee is running out of time and assets to make moves. Middleton is a FA and 33, they gave away 5 2nds to get  Crowder and still own Pelicans picks for Holiday. They have one young guy in Beauchamp who is a project

East is basically the Celtics at this point. West is still tougher, with a few young teams that will be better next year. 

Dallas is a mess.  Is there anyway we can get Luka and pair him with Embiid?

I tend to think it’s still Miami. I’m guessing he’d want to play with butler and the sixers if he wants to be traded i think they’d work with him to get him to where he wants to go to win a title. Plus Bam and Herro plus picks. Only first miami doesn’t own is 2025 1st. Which if he was dealt after 23-24 seasons probably isn’t very good so I’d want 26 pick swap, 27 first, 28 pick swap and 29 first. 

i also don’t rule out utah with ainge. Been rumors they’ve checked in on luka. They have a bunch of draft capital so if they could somehow get luka and embiid paired i don’t think it’s a stretch. Nothing to do in utah but embiid has basically said he doesn’t really go out here so i don’t think he’s just rule out utah

I said Bam and Herro a few months ago and no one was excited about it. Bam is a legit defensive player of the year and Herro can create his own shot. KD got two wings and 4 picks and Embiid is the same value.

I wouldn’t be excited about it because you are not winning a title with those as main guys. Still would need your superstar and likely no. 2 guy. I think bam, Herro and maxey anre nice compliments to that star and his no. 2 sidekick.  and likely with those guys as your main pieces just fighting for a playoff spot. That said i tend to think that’s what Miami would offer as no need for Bam at that point and sixers would want Herro. 

Did they tell harden he can’t play like a broken down star, maxey needs to be better and Harris the deeper we get into the playoffs turns into that Homer Simpson bushes gif/meme

If you are doing a rebuild he definitely needs to be. Also need to fire doc at that point cause he’s not a rebuild coach.

time to bring back Hinkie to preside over the Tobias Harris trade, and see if he can extract any value out of Harden walking somehow.
