Durant is 32 and coming off an achilles. Harden is 31. The window is 2-3 years, max.

Not only that harden is going to want a max extension otherwise throw a hissy fit. So you have to deal with that eventually even though when that extension kicks in he’s likely declining cause he didn’t take care of his body. When you are 31 you take better care of yourself not less. Athletes like Lebron dedicate their body especially as they got older were able to thrive in their mid 30s and late 30s. I do not see that happening with James Larden.

talk about a king's ransom in picks.

Nets better win a title in the next two years before they become irrelevant for the following 10

Waiting to hear back what happened but all i know so far is "picks were very important to Houston and Sixers did not want to offer Simmons, others and all those picks. Houston was able to leak the Sixers deal to get Brooklyn to offer even more

F I would have went for Oladipo for cheap.  I care more about missing out on that than I do Harden. That was just too much to give up. Im glad we didnt let them snag Maxey, or even Shake.

I wish we would just put Ben on the block and see what offers come in. Im tired of looking for hypothetical scenarios on trade machines. I want news that hes available and see what really comes in.

seeing everyone now saying the nets overpaid...  and having buyer's remorse on a trade that isn't even on their own team...  what do you think houston wanted from us?  ESPCIALLY knowing fertita would probably want to stick it to morey and come out the CLEAR winner.  probably would've gutted out team.  we'd have probably given up simmons, maxey, tobi, scott, thybulle, and a slew of unprotected picks in some wonky multiple team trade all for..  harden.

I mean seriously...you can't watch this stuff over and over and not realize he's not changing on offense.

I remember that play I was like what the F is this moron doing.

Nets could be out of the playoffs by 2023. Harden could be gone or shot, Durant as well. Kyrie will probably want out before the deadline this year.

It's not like Kyrie is playing anyways. Maybe they get lucky and recoup some of what they gave up and trade Kyrie

most of us wanted harden, and most of us settled on a price we would be willing to be which was something like Ben, Thybulle, and 2 firsts. Everyone in here was pretty much right around there.

They do care about winning, that’s why they didn’t do the trade.

Doubting anyone wants to deal with a headache in kyrie and on top of that is very injury prone. Feels like he’s been hurt as much as he’s played the last 4 years

Gonna be hard to do because he’s not playing though. Is Vlade Divac still running a team?

Pass out and wake up to this crap.

Nets didn't learn the first time and didn't learn this time.

Pretty much, so makes no difference if he is on the team or not because he most likely won't be playing. Durant seems like a team player so as long as kyrie wants to be a loser then harden and durant should be fine.

It hasn't even been injuries keeping him out the last 2 seasons he's ****

I know this lol. Also no but, still plenty of dumb teams out there.

just cause "WE" wanted it and "WE" saw it as "fair" compensation, does not mean that's what houston would ask for.  fertita would want to get over on morey.  your former gm says he's stepping away for family, so you let him walk, then he takes a job with another team?  a team you're linked with in a trade?  yeah, you're not doing "fair" compensation.  your team is coming out on top by a mile.  especially if that gm is linked to so many articles praising said player to be traded for.

the haul the nets had to pay would be pittance to what we would've lost.  our roster may say we have enough players, but have fun throwing guys out there that look like our covid crew this past weekend on the regular after a harden trade.

but harden is neither here nor there..  good luck to the nets and their smaller window.  hope harden was worth it.  glad my team didn't give up more than they did for harden.

Not a good take.  They paid Morey a lot of money to come in and hopefully win a Title.  Because they didn't overpay for one guy that the sports radio callers want doesn't mean they don't care.

Kyrie hasnt decided to play the last 2 weeks so he is killing it so far.

WE are happy that Morey didnt pay more whan WE wanted to pay.

Beal's price tag just became outrageous.

Poor Joel, wasting away with a bum

yeah.

At this point we need to stop trying to target specific players and seeing the astronomical price tags.

If Ben has anywhere near the price tag some fans think he should (and it may still be pretty high if the Rockets really wanted him for Harden), then we need to just put it out there to the league that he is available.

Maybe some team surprises us with an offer of a player who wasnt really being shopped. But that the team would be willing to part with in order to get ben.

Or maybe some team just comes with a great package, even if not a superstar.

Kyrie Irving appears to have attended a virtual event for Manhattan District Attorney candidate, Tahanie Aboushi, at 7.

The Nets tipped off against the Nuggets in Barclays at 7:30.

Circle 2/6.  Our first game against the Nets.

Ben keeps playing the way he is no one is giving the sixers jack sheet just for a defensive player.
