sounds like it could be the bi-annual exeption amount, if Green leaves and we end up with that. Otherwise I guess that is a portion of our tax payers MLE. 

With he backup 4, and 5 taken care of, the best thing we can do to improve the star power of this team barring a ben and/or Tobi trade would be to roll the dice on Oladipo being healthy and explosive again.

Theres basically no one left on the free agent market. Id offer him the full non-taxpayer MLE and hope he takes it.

It most likely is. Unless Oladipo regains all-star form. But the MLE can only be a 2 year deal at most. Even if Oladipo is just half decent, he would be very tradable on that contract. As well, the 2 free agents we signed are 1 and 2 year deals for cheap. None of it commits for long term. It can be blown up at any time. But keeps them somewhat competitive. And gives them more tradable pieces for optionality.

im thinking that with ben simmons trade, either it's for dame if they are dumb enough to bit on or for some role players and picks. im leaning towards role players than a star right now.

Niang is a little better shooter than Scott, and like Scott, has literally no useful place to be on the floor from a defensive standpoint. He can at least pair with Drummond alright on a second unit with Drummonds paint presence, seems tough to figure out how he’d be more than a spot player in a tough playoff series. 

 

I love markkanen but i can’t see Harris and markkanen fitting on the court together. Smart and divincenzo would be solid additions.

Yep. Thats pretty much my list after checking back on that tweet with the interested teams. Smart is my top choice. Markkanen 2nd. Id expect to end up with Hart.
