One thing is for sure — at least for now. While an Irving trade for Ben Simmons with Philadelphia is seen by some as an easy solution to both teams’ problems, sources with knowledge of the 76ers’ view said there is no interest in Irving at the moment. From management on down, it seems there is an unsurprising level of skepticism about that pairing working out any better than the Joel Embiid-Simmons duo that is zombified at the moment.

And in the absence of Irving getting an extension from the Nets — which is obviously not happening now — the other tricky part here is that he can opt out of his deal after this season. That’s obviously a major factor for any interested team.

then it's probably going to be harden unless he resigns with the nets.

he's getting benched like kyrie, im getting the feeling we are getting either kyrie or harden from the nets because i mean if morey wants stars that's probably the closet thing you are going to get.

Has there been any rumor that James Harden wants to leave the Nets? There was a report that Morey still wants him but that’s not the same thing as James Harden is prepared to leave the Nets and Kevin Durant to go to Philadelphia.

this.

it's wishful thinking, imo. i'm sure morey would love to get harden....but the odds of him asking out of brooklyn are slim. i mean...why would he?

From the initial conversations in Chicago, when Paul found Morey and Brand on separate occasions to first levy Simmons' trade request during the week of the NBA Draft Combine, Klutch figures maintained the Defensive Player of the Year runner-up planned to skip training camp. The Sixers have stood firm that they don't necessarily want to move Simmons and are only open to trading him for one of the few players in a tier above Simmons, such as Damian Lillard, or James Harden before him. The Sixers still believe the dominant defensive pairing between him and Embiid can be the backbone of a 2022 title team.

For that, dating back to those Combine dialogues, Philadelphia was adamant in its plans to withhold Simmons' pay for not complying with the terms of the five-year, $170-plus million agreement he signed in July 2019. Later, at Paul's home, Rivers even shouted, "It's in your f--king contract” to report and play for Philadelphia, sources told B/R.

I know he’s a FA at the end of the year (player option which is gonna opt out). The only way I can see him going to Philadelphia is if the nets completely self-destruct to the point where it is complete chaos and he says I’m out. I really highly doubt that happens to the nets. Frankly I think they would be better served not having Kyrie and trading him to build up the depth on that team. I said that last year that if they were able to have James Harden and Kevin Durant and then use Kyrie to build up the talent around them they would be better off.

Strong immune system from being around the kardashians, still got the stink as well

Kyrie thinks he is standing up for the voiceless...I just can't.

My God, we are truly at the end of days when Stephen A is making sense.

Per Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, the Sixers have gone the extra mile after taking his physical on Tuesday:

That physical, and Wednesday’s first practice session, are just the beginning of several phases the Sixers have planned for reintegrating Simmons into their team environment. The team has individual film and weight training sessions planned. Philadelphia has consulted with various sports psychologists in the previous weeks, and the team believes it has bolstered the resources Simmons has available to improve his game, particularly by hiring a new shooting and skills coach. It would seem likely that Philadelphia will make a concerted effort to clear the air with Simmons and his teammates, particularly Joel Embiid.

Good to hear that the mystery team has had "substantial" talks with the 6ers. I think thats the first time Ive read that about any negotiations. Usually there nothing substantial because Morey turns everyone away with ridiculous demands.

[Fischer] The Sixers front office doesn’t appear to be moved by the prospect of landing Dejounte Murray and Lonnie Walker IV from San Antonio, either, and the Kings won’t yet discuss any framework that includes either De’Aaron Fox or Tyrese Haliburton, sources said.

Nets clearly we are getting harden lol.

I imagine GS would still be interested depending on price to get him

I'm telling you, I'd love to send him to that swamp known as Orlando and have him get "It's a small world" stuck in his head forever!!  Well there's just one moon and one golden sun....and a smile.......over and over!

Any chance New Orleans trades us Zion Wiliamson and would that be a benefit to our team. I feel that would still clog the paint and his injury issues seems to give him a short shelf life. On the flip side Zion appears to be interested in improving his game.

He would not have been able to go to Wimbledon with his girlfriend is he wasn't. UK requires it to enter the country.

I see you are watching Mike Miss too.  The plot thickens!

I just looked up the requirement for being at the Wimbledon championship.  It says you can show proof of a negative test from the last 48 hours.

No just a tweet that Morey still likes Harden. They are already down 1 with Irving they aren't going to trade Harden on top of it for a another usless unvaxxed idiot.

Ben would have to agree to get vaccinated.

Yes, Zion would help, no, there is no way that they're going to trade him to us.  His upside is way higher than Ben's, and they know that.

Zion isn't on the table and shouldn't be, but Ingram could be.

Zion and his camp wants him to have the ball in his hands during crunch time but Ingram also wants the ball.

I thought I had read somewhere that Zion was not happy with NO management stemming back to how they restricted his minutes when he was hurt.

This is not the article I saw but it says some of the same things https://www.sportscasting.com/zion-williamson-counting-days-until-leaves-new-orleans-pelicans-after-badly-botched-rookie-season-not-going-sit-and-say-were-close/
