Brunson is so so important to the Mavs. Tyus Jones is more likely

Ill take that too. But the Mavs didnt extend Brunson. So could that tell us something about their opinion on him?

I’d probably do this deal even though i hate losing thybulle. Brown is a good defender. He’s not Simmons but he’s good. Since coming into the league his defensive ratings have been 109.6, 104.7, 108.6, 107.7, 112.7 and 106.3. He also gives us more scoring from the wing and i think is a good fit alongside Harris, embiid, curry and maxey. I also like the added depth at guard with beverley. I think he’s pest that gets under an opponents skin which is perfect for the playoffs. And a nice backup point.

I think it makes sense for the sixers and celtics. KAT is a better fit alongside Tatum. And brown gives us what we really need. I just can’t see Minnesota making that deal for KAT even if they want Simmons. I think they want Simmons to go with KAT and Edwards. I do wonder if KAT asks to be traded cause they are once again bad. 

I also wonder if the pelicans try to unload Ingram at 1-11. I wouldn’t be so surprised if Zion makes a push to be traded next offseason. I think there’s a chance he’s not going to sign his max extension with the pelicans and just take the qualifying offer in 23-24

I disagree. KAT and Tatum don't fit.  KAT doesn't want to play center.  Tatum and him want to play the same position.  Celtics would still have no defense at the center position and no distributor.  I actually think it would be a parallel move for them.  For that reason I'm all for that trade.

I think they’d play KAT at the 4 as a stretch big with moving horford to the 5. They are forced to have horford at the 4 in their starting lineup cause of Williams is strictly a 5. I think horford is best suited to play the 5. You’d have to make Schroeder and smart as your perimeter cause they don’t have anything better unless they go Richardson which is a mistake and Tatum as the SF. Do i think it makes them better? Questionable but i do think KAT at the four and moving horford to the 5 is better than what they are doing with horford right now. Frankly if i were the Celtics I’d try to get malik Beasley in that deal somehow. That way i go smart, Beasley, Tatum, KAT and horford as my starters. If they somehow pulled off malik in that deal I’d argue that’s a better starting lineup then what they are going with currently.

I'm not sure what the cap looked like back then but losing Butler was a major mistake.

On the surface it looked like it was between him,  or Harris getting paid.  But it really came down to Butler or Simmons, and they chose Simmons. They didn't get along so they let Butler go and paid Harris.

Mistake.  I can't think of any other Philly professional player from any sport who's been a bigger overall disappointment than Simmons.

His offense didnt even look good in the summer league. Hes nowhere near ready. Im not sure he will ever have adequate offense to play his position. Hes not a bust, YET though because I think the team knew this. Hes only 19 years old and is expected to be a project.

Yeah… Embiid all but confirmed that Ben was the reason they lost Butler.

It was but a huge mistake was signing horford. It was the last time we were going to have significant cap space. And we used it on a over the hill center that the analytics said he was better at center and declining. All they have to show for signing horford is Danny green and giving up a pick to move horford 

I think we also should have resigned TJ McConnell. 

He has developed into a solid backup PG..... Averaging 10.5 points while shooting 41% from 3 and was among the league leaders in steals last season.
