Porter’s back is that bad, huh?

That's what I'm wondering. Maybe they don't want to deal with that...

But it's probably a fake rumor anyway.

He only has 5 turnovers in his last 7 games

We need Embiid back

Even when Embiid was sulking around earlier in the season and complaining about the new ball and whatever else we were still winning just because of his presence.  He makes everything easier for the whole team.

We also need Thybulle's constant pokes and deflections.  He's the ultimate disruptor.

Yep, that’s why I’ve been saying if we need to include one of Kork and Thybulle in a trade, I’m keeping Matisse. Kork is too hot and colt. When he’s on he’s great, when he’s off he’s a detriment to have on the floor. Thybulle’s defense is consistent.

The coach needs to be smart enough to see that when Kork comes in jacking 3s and misses his first 2 or 3, he needs to play Joe instead for the rest of the game. The coach hasnt realized that yet. However, the shooting is needed. Kork and Joe are needed to flip flop with each other on any given night. Thybulle is a luxury that is not needed. Unfortunately he has never developed a single offensive skill.

Shooting is just far more important in today's NBA. With all of our guys out recently, this team didnt still find ways to win because of a few Thybulle steals and blocks. They won because they were able to move the ball and shoot lights out.

Kind of disagree.....without Thybulle's defense (and Embid's for that matter), we have been a sieve.....you can have a ton of offense but if you have no defensive stoppers, well, you have the Toronto, Indiana, Milwaukee and New York games.  And offense goes hot and cold, defense can always be there with effort.

Yeah, I disagree. Dude averages 1.7 blocks at 2.3 steals per game. That’s potentially four extra stops per game. That’s a big deal.

Ideally, you have players who can play both. But since not everyone can be a 2 way all star, when given the choice between a 1 dimensional offensive player, or a 1 dimensional defensive player, Ill take offense every time.

In how many minutes?

You can hypothetically, best case scenario get a 3 off of every one of those stops. So you have 12 points. Thats best case scenario which wont always happen.

Hes averaging 25 minutes a game this year.

You can get a guy who can also score 12 points in 25 minutes consistently. Sucky Shake Milton is doing that this season. Imagine a better offensive player via this hypothetical trade. You send Thyublle. Not a question about it.

It’s not just the four stops per game (though that is important), but also just the tight defense that forces contested shots. All I’m saying is I’d keep him over Kork, not that he’s untouchable.

It would be nice if Portland, Boston and Sacramento got into some sort of bidding war for Simmons but i really dont see that happening.

i know one of the assistant coaches on the kings as he went to the uofa and from Tucson originally. They all thought they were going to be fired at the end of last year. He was looking for some jobs around the league and even with some schools in CA and Az if he couldn’t catch on at the nba level. Walton is getting canned. it’s just a matter of when they want to do it. If they lose to the pistons i wouldn’t be surprised if it’s tomorrow.

Agreed neither are untouchable. Kork has proven to be the same old inconsistent Kork. Through the first 10 games or so, it was looking as if he took the next step to become more reliable but obviously not.

Agree to disagree on who to part with preferrably. I enjoy Thybulle's highlights but I just dont value his far too limited skillset as much.

Should have asked him "Ben, are you here to see your gynecologist?  Hope all is ok!"

[Charania] The Philadelphia 76ers have fined Ben Simmons for failing to travel on their six-game road trip, sources say.

Dude is destroying his own career right now. Nobody wants him for anything close to high value with the BS he’s pulling in combination with the shortcomings in the playoffs. All he had to do is come in and play, try to up his value a little, and he could be traded a little more easily.

Im just wondering how much Maxey’s progression is making Morey rethink his Simmons demands. With the kid holding down that PG spot admirably, I would think it eventually gets to the point where they just need to move Simmons for the best package they can possibly get, even if that’s just adding a couple role players.

I would keep Thybulle as well but his inability to give ANYTHING on the offensive end absolutely kills him. He hasn't improved one bit shooting a corner 3.

You are basically back to playing 4 v 5 in the playoffs on the offensive end and will double Embiid all the time.

Well coming off the bench you can deal with that. It’s when your starting PG has no offensive game whatsoever in the playoffs that it kills you.

My ideal situation would be to trade Ben, include Kork if you have to, and try to get a starting wing to push Green to the bench.

Maxey-Curry-SF-Harris-Embiid, with Drummond, Green, Shake, Niang and Thybulle coming off the bench is a real deep team. As always, just have to hope Jo stays healthy in the playoffs.

It doesn't matter what position it is. If you can't shot a corner 3 then you are playing 4v5 on offense. Go look at what the Warriors did to Tony Allen a few years ago where they had Bogut guard him.

Why playoff Drummond isn't the same player as the regular season. They will run high pick and roll against him every single possession until they have to move Reed or Niang to the 5.

Someone proposed this trade on realgm and I really like it!

NOP gets Fox and Thybulle
PHI gets Ingram, Barnes, and Hield
SAC gets Simmons, Harris, Curry, and PHI 1st

Should let the Warriors know that so they can get rid of Draymond.

Oh because the Warriors have a 7 footer that plays his back to the basket and not two of the greatest shooters alive that can run off screens all day where Green can initiate an offense. Thybulle can do this all while guarding five positions at a high level?

Thybulle is basically Andre Roberson at this stage in his career.

Sixers are not the Warriors and can't afford a non shooter on the floor

It's not great value. Barnes is a bad contract. While many say the same about Harris, he is younger age better. Giving Curry, age a first on top of it all... that has to be proposed by a Kings homer. The question becomes how desperate are you to get Ingram.

I have wanted Ingram for a long time,  but I don't like that deal.
