No one on the Kings looked like any kind of a game changer. As much as people hated the proposal, the Grant deal is infinitely better than anything the Kings can offer.

I think he could be a nice role player.  We need someone who can take over the game and he's not that guy right now and I'm not sure he has the skill to become that guy.  Fox looked like that guy last year and I would've taken him in a heartbeat this offseason for Simmons.  Now not so sure.  Kings players are tough to judge right now.  Walton was so bad and the organization seems rudderless.

The Kings are a dumpster fire.  Not sure why they didn't move on from Walton in the offseason.  Dude is a terrible coach.  Not sure I'm very interested in any of their players right now.  Fox doesn't fit great (and redundant now since Maxey developed), Haliburton isn't moving the needle much and Hield is what he is a volume shooter.  I wouldn't have any of them on my list of 30 for this team if I was Morey.

A volume shooter who is a career 40% shooter from 3, but okay.

I'm not knocking his shooting ability.  It's what he does and does it well.  About the only thing he does well on the court.  On his note, the mfer is averaging 13.5 3 point attempts a game so far this season.  That's pretty crazy.  Again, I know he can shoot.  He could always shoot.  He's like the opposite of Ben.  Ben does a lot of good things on the court, but shooting is not one of them.  I'm just hoping for a more multi-dimensional player.

Everyone on SAC has regressed this season.  I wouldn't be too down on any of those guards in a trade. It seems likely due to coaching and culture.

No doubt.  That's why I said it's tough to judge them.  I doubt they'd do Haliburton and Hield for Ben.  Makes no sense pairing Ben and Fox.  Talk about a clogged paint.

You run Fox, Mitchell, Barnes, Simmons, Holmes as your starting 5.

The owner is also an idiot and he may see Simmons as that name that can get him over the top. I think they are year 15 of not making it to the playoffs which is longest in the league.

To truly get a guy like Dame or Ingram, Maxey will have to be included at this point.

Or you take a package like Buddy/Haliburton or injury prone Levert/Lamb

idk how they'd have enough minutes for buddy & halburton. maxey & seth are both playing over 33 mpg..and shake is up there in the mid-20's too.

Shake can stay in his warm ups or be part of a trade deadline move with Danny Green.

I'd like them as a bench unit.  Haliburton, Hield, Tisse, Niang and Drummond.  Kork and Shake would be odd men out but they're just depth players as is so no biggie.

But again come playoff and crunch time who is taking over besides Embiid.  Not sure Maxey will be there yet this year.  Still need that guard/wing who can take over in the crunch.

I’d take Halliburton and buddy. The kings are a bad organization and Walton was horrific at developing talent as well as coach. Almost every player has taken steps back this year. I also read a story a couple weeks back that fox and haliburton weren’t meshing well.

Even so Haliburton had a bad game last night (still the only plus starter for the kings at +9 in 33 mins) but on the season he’s averaging 12.5 ppg, shooting 37.7% from three on 3.8 attempts, 5.1 asts to 1.8 turnovers, 3.8 rebounds and 1.7 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. I think with better coaching (Cassell working with him here) he could develop into an awesome player. The sixers depth and lineup would be pretty good. Could go maxey, curry, hield, Harris and embiid. Off the bench you have haliburton, niang, green, thybulle, Drummond, kork, Milton, reed and joe.

Wonder if LaVine for Simmons was available last year or if Morey really turned down Garland/Love for Simmons.

Both in hindsight, would have been game changers.

Same here.  Haliburton was bad last night but the upside is still there and Buddy gives us another bomber (to steal a term from Brett Brown).  While it might not be the best package, count me in the group who sees Haliburton and Buddy as a huge upgrade over an idle, sulking, headcase who has contributed zero this season.  Furthermore, I love the idea of Ben being in basketball irrelevancy in Sacramento.

I don't think Hield accepts a bench role.  I think he has griped over his role in the past with the Kings. He will have to be a starter.  Curry may accept whatever he is told and go to the bench though.

That's fine.  Hield can space the floor and be the deadly 3 point shooter when Joel is out there and then Curry can run or be a main part of running the offense on the second unit.

And AI went on to be a career 42.5% FG and 31.3% 3pt FG.  For all of his excitement and toughness and flair that he brought, I think some folks forget how inefficient AI was.  Now, if AI had Ben's physical tools...whoa.  Ben is a waste.

Imagine if we would have traded Simmons to San Antonio for Kawhi

I’d be fine going

maxey

curry

buddy

harris

embiid

at the moment when Danny green is healthy he is likely going to be the starter at the 3. I don’t think his defense is nearly as good as it once was. you will be better defensively but I don’t think his defense is better than what buddy Hield brings offensively in the starting lineup. the ability to have an offense that has two really good three-point shooters on the floor is going to really open things up for embiid, Harris and maxey. I think eventually haliburton you can transition into a starter and bring curry off the bench.

Reverse that, if Ben had AI's heart...or any heart for that matter....

I love when everyone uses the trade machine thingy and it says like -1 wins for the Sixers (hunt's example), I mean how does that machine figure out adding Ingram, when Simmons is giving us nothing (but headaches), is going to cost the Sixers a victory??
