I don't think Morey is a fool and we know he's patient. Morey will get him in the offseason and he knows it. At this rate we might be able to get Harden in the offseason for pennies on the dollar and trade Ben somewhere else.

And if Embiid starts to decline next year due to injuries or just general wear and tear on his body? Bottom line is Jo is playing at a ridiculous level this year, and wasting that would be incredibly stupid. Especially important when you consider his history and just the overall history of men his size in the NBA. They don’t typically have long productive careers.

I wouldn’t give up the farm for Harden, but Morey already Fed up by passing on very fair trades that would have been better than the Harden deal would be. He needs to get this done and at a reasonable price or this whole thing will be a big fail.

I think the only issue is that once we sign him in the offseason, a tampering investigation will start.

And if Morey doesnt negotiate a somewhat fair trade, a tampering negotiation will start.

Thats the Nets leverage. Sort of blackmail- we will trade him but it has to be decent value. If you dont want to give anything up, or just sign him in the summer we have all this evidence of tampering.

And, yes Morey is patient. But he is also a fool. Ben created a sort of mess, but Morey has exacerbate it x10.

yeah but hes not. all he has ever done is trade for Harden.

I know he’s not. But he needs to find a way.

I wonder what it would cost to trade for Nurkic from the Trailblazers?  I know he's on an expiring contract.  Maybe they can get him as a cheap rental for the rest of the year.

Great thought!

Olynyk would be a nice fit too, probably better because he can give you minutes as the back up 5 plus he could play at the 4 next to Embiid because of his shooting.

Money works for Danny Green. Also keeping in mind Portlands goal to shed salary, Danny Green's entire salary next year is non-guaranteed.

Woj is now hedging...interesting. Yesterday it was no talks, everyone is talking BS. Today it's they are going to talk and Harden wants out.

Windy 1, Woj 0

nurk is a legit, starting caliber center on an expiring deal...idk if portland would want to move him.

They could sign him back in the off-season.  Give them a pick to borrow him for a few months.

He has real value if someone traded for him and Sixers only have this year's pick to trade

i can't stand him & his ponytail...but yeah, he would be a good fit.   i also wish reed & bassey got more minutes to help get them ready for potential playoff minutes.

I can get on board with this. I'd rather do this and add picks than include Thybulle.

and the thing is we dont know if harden is going to come here in fa, he could go to the bucks or clippers, it's like this moron doesnt even understand that free agency guarantees nothing especially everyone thought we were going to get LBJ and he went to the lakers. if he gets traded here, we win a championship, he will most likely sign here, we lost in the first round, harden sees this and says i dont want to go here.

some general nba info....but it does mention olynyk.

[Matt Moore] Trailblazers in talks for Jerami Grant + more league intel

  • Miami Heat possibly looking to flip a 1st with Duncan Robinson for an upgrade

  • Blazers are negotiating a deal for Jerami Grant

  • Raptors are entertaining discussions for Goran Dragic - Mavs and Hawks interested

  • Dwight Powell is available from Mavs - Brunson and Finney Smith are not

  • Hardaway Jr for Dinwiddie was discussed but shelved

  • Grant Williams has been made available alongside Dennis Schroder - Bucks VERY interested

  • Robin Lopez and Terrence Ross both worth a 1st to Magic

  • Everyone bar Kyle Kuzma is available in Washington

  • Kelly Olynyk and Cory Joseph are available in Detroit

  • Utah and Atlanta look like they will stand pat now

Of course Vikas is the voice of reason.

They probably view him as a usable long term piece in their rebuild with Lillard.

But.... I guess you never know. They gave away other useful players too. Of course his expiring contract will hold value. But if we are offering expiring contracts in return it may not take too much more in pick compensation.

well now i gotta unlock it.

Everyone but Kuzma?  Assuming that is really Beal and Kuzma off limits, they still have a few players that would be useful if Morey decides to wait until the offseason to go after Harden but wants to make some smaller additions in the meantime.  No idea what anybody's contracts look like though, except Bertans', which is too big to take on.
