But yeah a very solid horror movie. There’s a whole thread about it that’s better than this one. Climax is stilll too 5 worst movies ever made.

THey seemed more interested in making fun of the He-man cartoon, and those types of cartoons in general, than making a decent movie.Elba saved it a bit, hes always pretty good, but the film sucked.

I never watched much of the cartoons, so maybe they were just as weird. It wasn't terrible, but the audience feels so small and niche and they've gone all in on the weird and nostalgia. They must have thought they were going to do really well with it because they allude to a sequel in the film.

It was a typical Hasbro 20 minute toy commercial like Transformers and GI Joe.The film would have been better off simply following the "Marvel formula" IMO. And leaving the earth stuff out entirely. This felt more like a parody film where 80 percent of the jokes miss.

The Leto part was likely a non-factor. If it would have caught Ana de Armas 5ish years later it might have also gotten a large boost from her.
June 15Jun 15 Author oh! and I forgot early Batista praise, so he might have also been a year or two too early (though I think the film helped give him reputation as possibly the most talented wrestler-turned-actor.

The only others I can think of is The Rock who always plays basically the same character and John Cena who also basically just plays a goofball in every movie. Everyone else like Piper/Hogan were mostly one offs. Batista has way more range then Rock and Cena.

I think both him and Bautista are legitimate actors, and the Rock is a huge draw with a ton of experience unde rhis belt but doesnt have the natural talent the other two have. All three of them can be very entertaining in the right roles.
June 29Jun 29 Last weekend Masters was 6th in the box office. This weekend it was 9th grossing only 2.22 million. I'd be shocked if it was in theaters much longer.

You have to drive about 40 miles north (Ithaca) or 70ish miles east (Binghamton) to get to any other national chain movie theaters... so its not like our Regal is competing with other theaters to fill seats. When something vanishes this quick it tells you how trash the film is. I never saw the Sweeny Christy film because it was in our theater for 1 calendar week before they scrapped that one

June 29Jun 29 Jared Leto had asked for the role of Skeletor. According to director Travis Knight, Leto proactively approached the studio and the filmmakers because he is a huge fan of the franchise and wanted a chance to "swing for the fences" with the character.Dear god, the movie never stood a chance.

But it was always lame-o.
