Comparing Dak to McNabb is a bad comparison, not because they don't both have weaknesses, it's because they are 2 totally different types of QBs.  Dak is at his best when he's making his first read.  He's not a scrambler.  He doesn't have elite arm strength.  He's like a Kirk Cousins.  He is best with a good offensive game plan and good to great talent around him.  He's a good QB. He could win a Super Bowl but he's never going to do it without a lot of help.

McNabb took teams of less than average talent at the WR position to the playoffs in consecutive seasons.  At times he was the most productive player on the offense.  McNabb only had accuracy issues with certain types of throws.  I think his throwing motion sometimes led to some worm burners.  His arm strength and ability to throw deep was elite.  He also threw beautiful seam routes.  I think the bigger issue was not playing at his best in big games.  He had some pretty mediocre to bad big games.  Even with his not great game in the Super Bowl, I think too much of the blame for the team's failure goes on him.  Sure McNabb deserves blame for the Super Bowl but the Eagles also could not run the ball that game.  Some of that may have been on Reid and frankly some of that was probably due to the Patriots cheating.  I don't think the loss gets placed solely on McNabb.

McNabb for whatever reason always threw the ball 10,000 mph even on throws where he should have put a little touch on them. I think that was a lot of hos accuracy problem

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

C'mon Snyder just tell us the name. You've had years to think about it.

So we're getting a DE or S?

He didn't start thinking until the $$ was threatened.

The comparison of Dak to McNabb isn't about style of play so much, but aging trajectory, a lot of mobile QBs just aren't good enough QBs to succeed as pocket QBs when their legs go.

That is, you wouldn't want to commit big money to them past age 31 or 32 or their first major leg injury.

Ive never watched this show, but Im catching clips on youtube lately and I really like how these guys take on issues thoughtfully. Here they talk about DeSean Jackson.

Acho is pretty good, but I haven’t watched that particular show.

Eagles ranked 10th.

Rondo broke his thumb.  He might have to spend more time in that dumpy hotel room.  Shame.

Is the other one ok so that he can sit and suck on his thumb like a baby while he whines about his 'hardship' in that 'Motel 6'?

Re what Baldinger is spreading, instead of signing a certain DE, could it be the signing of the remaining 8 draftees this week?  That will also boost the roster and get ready for the season.

That would be more of a troll job then it being just Jason Peters. He'd kill a lot of credibility putting a tweet out like that just for signing draft picks.

Yea, and Baldy has that rep to protect, so...

Yesterday, wasteam fired the top two guys in their pro personnel department.  Strange timing. Who is going to be identifying players to bring into camp, looking at other teams’ players that might get cut or swapped.

Yea, but I don't think he want's to be rolling around in the mud with Skip Bayless

That is true. He did a good job of protecting the ball.  It cannot be lost on us how Chad Lewis, hero to worms, and Westbrook, fingertip snatches, made McNabb look better.

Initially it seemed unrealistically high but going down the list I don't see anything too egregious. The upside of even the receiving group is up there with almost any other team out there but as we saw last year the floor is pretty atrocious.  Glad to see someone starting to hype Sanders.  I think he's being a little bit overlooked on the national stage.  What he did as a rookie was highly impressive.

I read somewhere it was for non-football reasons. We’ll see if something leaks.

Couple more yards and he would have been ROY, iirc?

Wait, what? They should be in the bottom third, not top third.

maybe something like defenders and theyd have to wrestle it away from the defunct XFL?
