Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

This is all it says, the rest is in your imagination, that said if Dillard goes down I would expect a shuffle just because Peters is better than Jordan right now, but that's not why he was brought in, it's a benefit of bringing him not the reason for it.

They were discussing bringing back Peters before Brooks was hurt. Derrick Gunn reported his return months ago. This is more than just RG.

Peters coming back is the least surprising thing I’ve seen all Summer.  Typical Howie/Lurie.  Somethings never change.

If you're going to make age-exceptions, do it for a Future Hall of Famer and the best offensive lineman in franchise history

I wanted to, but my parents didn’t want me to buy a stick so they never taught me. A friend was going to teach me, but he got rid of the car.

Nah, now it's all about the rg

I think he'll play very well at RG.  The only issue will be keeping him upright.

Once upon a time, they had a rotation with Warmack and Wiz.  All things being equal, OL rotations are clunky, disruptive, and undesirable.  They mostly don't exist for a reason.  But limiting Peters' snaps to keep him fresh and give Pryor some work may not be the worst thing.

I suspect Pryor will get plenty of work this year without the need of a rotation.

Well listen to you Mr. Flat earther . 😜 That said I'm guessing the coaches feel pretty confident that he indeed can play r.g. and I think he will be rolling guys over. He is a very powerful guy and build well I just hope he doesn't fall asleep from boredom while playing the r.g. position

No worries.  He mentioned being willing to move to guard at some point... so we'll see. I believe that both he and the coaches are confident.  But, doing it is different than thinking it.  The paper to field translation will prove if they are right or not.

I like the move.  I don't hate it, but its not what Baldy was making it out to be.   I think Peters can be a 'plus' RG at best.  But, he's not Brandon Brooks.   And frankly, there's no real guarantee that he's actually better at RG than Pryor.  But, I like the move.  We'll see how it works out.

Well we know which RG in the league will have the most false start penalties

No need for that "step" at guard.

That’s naive.

I definitely agree with this part.

Wife and I took a trip out to Amish country yesterday.   Picked up some Apple/Maple sausage.  Grilled up last night with a side of cucumber, tomato, onion, avocado salad (homegrown... well, not the avocado and onion).  Tasted so fresh.   Delicious.

Picked up a bunch of spices cheap (their bulk foods store out there sells spices for less than 50% what you'll find in the grocery store.)  Not fancy shakers, just little tubs... but I needed spices for homemade rubs.    Got some Spare ribs in the fridge... so I'll be putting the spices to work this evening.

Look if this was happening months ago, then maybe you have a point. But it didn't. That said I guess I wouldn't be shocked that they had concerns about Mailata. But for now they needed a rg and he's the guy for that position and as I said if there is an injury having Peters is definitely a benefit.

One of the best and fun cars I ever owned was a 2004 VW R32.  If there are any VW heads here you know the gem they are.  Still mad I traded that in.

Yes that car is legendary.

im in the mountains of Vermont with beautiful winding roads and I’m missing my baby. Damn, it would have been fun

My favorite car ever was an ‘86 GTI. I could run Lincoln Drive at 70, no sweat. "Porsche in a bunny suit,” Car and Driver called it.

Mine was a 1972 SS Chevy Malibu for speed although the Rocket 88 station wagon my dad owned with the 425 had amazing speed for its appearance.

I have driven a lot of fun cars to drive but have always been practical in ownership since my Malibu.

Another consideration is getting guys that can play multiple positions could potentially be even more important in a year where many players may have to sit out games if they catch the Rona.

Philadelphia is canceling all large major events through February. No parades, marathons, mummers etc. This probably all but confirms no fans at Eagles games this year.

Especially when our options at backup LT and starting RG are Mailata, Prince, Pryor and Driscoll.

Now if we are talking favorite cars. Mine was a 1969 Pontiac Catalina. The car was a huge piece of crap but it would run and it was my first car (350 2 barrel). I beat plenty of cars racing down the blvd in my home town that looked better (should have raced for titles). That said if I got a date while driving that car I knew the girl liked me for me and my wife was that girl.

2nd favorite was a Dodge Charger 2.2 . And now I'm one of those truck guys.

I thought Peters would move to LG at some point, RG is actually easier athletically (don't pull as much), though Peters, unless he totally falls off a cliff, could handle either one.

Screen right could be awesome with Kelce, Peters and Lane.

Peters is in many ways as close to Brooks as you can find in terms of the combination of power and athleticism and smarts.

How many 340 lb guards can hit targets 10+ yards past the LOS?

Bulk Foods in Gordonville

On Centerville Rd.

The Stoltzfus brand sausage is amazing.

100%

While I suspect Peters will be fine at RG, too many folks are taking the transition for granted. It’s not that easy.

this angle is why i actually dont like the move. Howie talked about relying too much on old guys. i think they are making this move with their heart and not their heads.

Dillard needs to play full time and this undercuts him

Congrats.

My favorite car is whichever one I owned free and clear.   So far, that was a Hyundai Accent... followed by a Saturn SL1.... almost got my Chevy Equinox, still another 18 payments to go.  Then it will be my favorite, because it will be the one sitting in front of my house.
