On our TV,  you have an option to watch without crowd noise.  It's great, but you can hear a lot more than TV audiences are used to hearing.  I wonder if the Eagles will look at cardboard cutouts to give the stands a bit of colour if no fans are present?  It worked over here, but you have to be careful otherwise you end up with Osama Bin Laden and a paedophile in the stands....

What was the reaction when they announced no fans over there?

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

In other news, Brett Brown is excited about Ben's jumper at practice.

I’m hoping that guy was going for the ball and not the kid — that was a blatant travel

I like Peter's at guard but wonder why they are switching his side.  Seumalo is experienced at both.  And he and Dillard next to each other is underwhelming.

I'd prefer to see Peter's at LG  next to Dillard and coaching Dillard in game. Seumalo at RG.

I think that alignment would maintain thr most continuity.

Agreed.  As cool as it is to think of Jason Peters next to Lane Johnson I'd rather have him coaching up the young, seemingly soft kid with tons of talent.  I think it speaks to their confidence in Seumalo changing positions (I don't think they believe he can do that).  He was very good outside of the Atlanta game last season, but he was an absolute disaster that night.

Anyone who thinks Peters was brought in here solely to play Guard is kidding themselves.  That announcement was more for Dillard’s feelings.

I think it was more about RG than LT.  Certainly it doesn't hurt the depth at LT and if Dillard craps the bed it gives them flexibility.

I'm guessing it will turn half of us into zombies but honestly that would be an improvement for a lot of people.

I'm speculating, because I've never played an OL position in my life, but it can't be like that.  I call BS.  There aren't humans that are born "left tackles" or :right tackles."  But every human is born left-handed or right-handed.  Someone like Andre Dillard couldn't handle the transition.  Tre proved he was completely 1 dimensional and a great blind-side pass protector.  Couldn't run block for ish.  But I think most of them could make the transition if they trained for it.

I know it's difficult to make this transition.  I actually think Peters will struggle for a short time.  But to compare it to batting opposite hand seems extreme.

It can make a difference. The East has been decided by 1 game the last 2 years.

I was just given the opportunity to crap on Dak and I took it.

I can't blame you.

Hottest car I’ve ever driven is a 2018 Mercedes AMG E63 S. What a car! I say driven, not owned, alas.

Hottest car I think I ever drove was either my friend tricked out 70:Barracuda or more likely a friend who had a Plymouth, IIRC, he got as a sheriff with a 440 and police interceptor carburetor. Breath on the gas and you were going sixty. Growing up with muscle cars was fun.  Those were cars I could work on. Lots of room under the hood, no computers to fry. Horrible for the environment.

Yea, makes sense to us as fans.  But remember how he got hurt in 17.  I don't think he wants to be next to somebody who he doesn't trust to do their job and keep them both safe.  Somebody who he knows where they will take their man and not screw up an assignment.

Which rules out RG and being next to basically a rookie.

This is why I think Lane talked Jason into RG.  That tweet came out before the announcement.  I think Peters only agreed to it because he's going to be playing between Kelce and Lane.

There’s debate in the comments about the antibodies staying in your system, but I imagine even if it lasts 2-3 months that’ll do a hell of a lot to help get rid of this thing. The only issue are with those who already have said they won’t get a vaccine. We need to do some convincing.

That will help them...  Go for it Dan Snyder, I can't see how it could possibly fail.

Let's say it is like that.   Someone tell Tra that there ARE switch hitters in MLB.  So, there are some people who are more ambidextrous than others.  Maybe Jason Peters is one of them.  He did line up in a right handed stance when he lined up as a TE, and he does flip to the opposite side from time to time when they went with unbalanced lines.  So... it's not like he hasn't done it ever.

Kelce is the reason he got hurt in '17.   Not sure what you are saying here.   He's lining up right next to Kelce.

I thought that was the year he was hurt by Wisniewski (or at least he blamed it on him and basically blackballed him from the team).

It was Wiz's guy who hit his leg though.  Yes, Kelce had a bad angle on his delayed double-team.  And had Wiz not gotten walked back so far it wouldn't have happened.

But again, I think he knows Kelce knows better, and along with Lane he's not going to have to worry about either of them beside him.

JMO.

Go back to watch the game, it's on GamePass.

Wiz was in front of his man, Kelce came off a guy to his right, and turned to his left and blew up the DT (unnecessarily) and drove him into the side of Peters' leg.   Whether or not Peters had a particular issue with Wiz is neither here nor there.  That injury was the direct result of Kelce's overzealous block.  I discussed this just the other day in regards to the kid that put his hold and fling block on Twitter and the reaction to it from the players around him.  That was a BAD play, not something to be excited for or by.  It is far better to stonewall your man than to put him on the ground at the legs of your teammates or anyone else in the pocket area.

I'm by no means an anti-vaxxer, but I can see why someone would be hesitant to get this one with how accelerated it's been pushed and them not having the standard timeline to run the trials.

Some O lineman change sides, some are versatile and trained to step in anywhere.

Dillard had no reps at RT and was thrown into the middle of a game last year.  After that, Stoutland said he got him practice on at RT and he was improving.

Early in Lane Johnson's career, Peters was hurt and Lane had to play LT.  He had all week to practice with the starters at LT and he struggled in that game.  He even admitted that a few months ago in defense of Dillard.

Point is, some guys can switch sides of the line, others struggle with it and need more time but it certainly doesn't help to be thrown in with no practice.  If JP is on the right side he'll have the reps in camp and preseason to prepare.

I do agree with the idea of putting him at LG not only because he's used to it, but it would further help Dillard to learn from him and Pryor can play RG.

That's not true.  He was thrown in at RT to work there all week leading up to the game and he talked himself into failure there.

What are you suggesting they do with Seumalo?
