Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Ok.  But compared to their normal lives, it will be much safer

It’s not. At home they only have to worry about the actions of those in the house. Much easier to control.

I'd hope he lasts because he's fun to watch but I think Titans are going to run him into the ground

That's just the nature of the position.  Very few RBs last more than 4-5 years at a high level of productivity.

You think these young professional athletes are all locking down at home?  Not going to get groceries, grabbing some takeout, etc?   There's no way.

They will interact with people who are all tested regularly, unlike their normal lives

Well, we know that at least one young professional athlete was grabbing some takeout, and he was supposed to be in the 'bubble' at Disney World.

I am going to change my training camp prediction- I DONT predict Don will be back for training camp.

I dont even see him on twitter anymore. Is he completely off the web?

Maybe we all just dreamed him, and he never really existed?

maybe I dont really know how to use twitter.

But I just decided I was gonna message him to say hi and try to catch a vibe from him about camp. I couldnt find him.

Good for him.

I haven’t listened to Mad Dog Sports in months and, of course, when I turned it on in the car today Nick Wright was on a tirade about how the Titans are mismanaged because they didn’t tag either Tannehill or Henry, instead gave them both long-term contracts.  I guess he figures it would have been shrewd to save $1.5M by tagging Henry — who cares if they’d be paying through the nose next year for him or lose him in FA?

The guy is just constantly wrong on almost every take.  He brags about being tuned into the NBA, and he’s just as dumb when it comes to basketball.

I was "following him", like adding his account to my Favorites. Just looked him up and his account has been removed from my list of "Following".

I don't know a ton about twitter either, just enough to get my face slapped, but I think he went completely offline, as far as Twitter is concerned, anyway. He said he was going to do that, I guess he did.

wow. Last I remember seeing was that he was still gonna be over on twitter. And I know he was for a bit after leaving here. I had no idea he was going totally off the grid. F 2020.

Yup. It's just fun watching him run over guys

There's a perception and an expectation that the next guy up for a contract renewal has to make more than the previous guy who set the bar. That philosophy isn't sustainable. The Henry deal seems fair because he's not going to last long with that style and he's not as versatile as McCaffrey. He wasn't going to sniff that type of deal. It's going to get really interesting with Sanders if he lights it up this year. Because he'll be the next guy in line worthy of a McCaffrey type of deal. I don't think the Eagles will give it to him though.

Living here in SEC country i saw a lot of Dak in college. Someone on the Cowpies staff did a helluva job making him better because he just wasn't all that good in college

He's not that good now either.  His first read is wide open about 90% of the time when Zeke is in the backfield.  He was also garbage before Amari Cooper arrived.  They put him in a great position.  Any other QB would drool to run that offense.

If he plays at that level then we better have 2 more titles. At that point, pay him.

I guess I shouldn't say they won't pay Miles. They have outs coming up with Alshon and Brooks if needed which could free up room. And it doesn't look like they have anyone else who's going to command a top tier deal on offense or defense. Cox is really the only remaining bloated contract.

Jake Elliott is ish out of luck

It feels sacrilegious to agree that an NFL kicker or punter is "out of luck."  Luckiest humans on the planet outside of Peyton Manning's OC in Indy.

If he plays at that level, I'd tag and trade him after the 2022 season.

BMI basically does not apply to high end athletes, so it's somewhat ironic that a professional sports league just used it as a major contractual stipulation.

Is it though?   That was likely put together by lawyers.  🙂    Logic doesn't matter... just complicate the simple.    Like I said earlier... All players should have the right to opt out without penalty.   AND... they hit pause on the contract, and start it up again when they return.   No promise of a job when they return, kind of like regular employers.    I just heard from my Union... if a teacher opts not to go back and applies to work remotely out of health concerns, there's no guarantee that the school board will accept that application and you could be terminated.  Meanwhile, the safety precautions that the district has in place at this point.... right now are nil.   They've got no plan.   Hopefully they will before the school year starts.   If not... this will be me:

For men?   That’s hard to believe.

I’d guess the average height for men is about 5’10 - 5’11

I've said that if Dak and Carson traded places that Dallas would have at least 1 SB in the last 4 years and we'd still be looking for our 1st.
