Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Nope.  Over at CVON, sure.

Fine...I won't say liberals anymore in here ;)

People whining about Madden stat ratings are pretty annoying/ridiculous, but I gotta say the tweets making fun of Josh Allen's  league-leading 99 arm strength rating have been pretty funny

That's the news? I honestly figured that happened around the league daily since the beginning

Wow. Kind of thought players knew and were just keeping silent until announcement. So the league really doesn't know what they're going to do. They need to figure it out soon. There's so many factors that need to be addressed

Will players risk their health to play if the league decides to go ahead and have the season?

It might be better to cancel just because they don't have a plan. Don't know what that'd do to contracts and players getting their money but it's probably for the best

lol I was just busting balls. Sometimes terms are needed for descriptions. Not always trying to start crap. Most of the time...just not always.

Poor guy.

Back to the draft...how can they handle it other than ping pong balls? They can't give the Bengals the first pick again.

His other story involving Phillip Daniel and Jason la canfora is more juicy

Speaking of Madden. Someone modded the Eagles and a chrome/silver facemask would be such a huge upgrade.

Madden. Each team’s best Madden player goes head to head.

Another reason why Goodell needs to be gone.  They are ill-prepared for the upcoming season.

Well... everyone (in basically every industry) is ill-prepared.   Some are just less ill-prepared than others.

I am sorry for your loss, grief is an ocean and I hope that I haven't stirred anything up for you.  Two generations of males before me were taken by GBM before 70, including my dad this May 416 days after diagnosis.  McHenry is a PoS and I feel no sorrow for her plight.

He didn't. Schefter is just listing players who were tagged who didn't reach a long term deal at the deadline yesterday

The NFL had the most time out of any major sport to figure out a gameplan as best as they could. It obviously wasn't going to be perfect given the situation, but they could have at least hammered out some of the issues regarding testing, scheduling, and training camp protocols. It feels like they've just been procrastinating this for months now and they still don't have a plan as the season inches closer.

The NFLPA is holding them up on a lot of subjects. NFL had a plan. But as usual they can never agree. NFL wants 2 preseason games, NFLPA wants zero. etc etc. Always fighting.

Completely agree. I have no doubt Josh is one smart cookie, however he was at NASA in what sounds like an intern role. Furthermore, there is a huge difference between an bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering and a masters in physics, aerospace, mathematics, etc.

My best buddy is a particle physicist specializing in black hole accretion research. Based on what he has told me an undergraduate degree in an applicable field (i.e. Josh Dobbs with Aerospace engineering) is basically a starting point for NASA. Essentially, they fund you from there to seek your doctorate or graduate studies. After your additional schooling is complete they may give your job offers, and more importantly research funding (most physicists take this route as they continue their own research). Dobbs may have a future at NASA, but he really need more education first.

My son is a rocket scientist. He has a BS in aeronautical engineering from Penn State. Rooms with two astrophysicists.  All are young and working. Probably all will get an MS and it will be funded by the government or if they go private, a private employer.  AE is the hardest engineering field to even qualify to take in college.  He has friends working at a number of the space companies like Space X, Virgin Gallactic, Boeing, Lockheed. Dobbs is a trained space scientist.   Sounds like he will be the type to intern in the offseason.  Don’t sell his education short. He is a very smart kid.

Note that NASA doesn’t hire a lot.  Most are contractors.
