well i'm sure jerry has to be involved in anything that would push them ahead of another team.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Haven't seen him at 3rd string anywhere. Everything I heard from Doug was that Suds is the backup

You don’t just hand him the #2 spot, but he’s our #2 no doubt.

Though I was referring to the Eagles going with Foles then with McCown and now Hurts. Hurts is probably going to see the field with Wentz, but I’d only see Suds as the #2 if they expect Hurts to be a gadget player, but you don’t spend a 2 on that.

Patriots already folded and told the league to just take their picks.

Well... everyone (in basically every industry) is ill-prepared.   Some are just less ill-prepared than others.

Well I mean they could look at how things are working in overseas soccer leagues.

Back to the draft...how can they handle it other than ping pong balls? They can't give the Bengals the first pick again.

Man if this Redskin bombshell turns out to be another Jay Glazer/Baldinger over-sell, i'll be rather disappointed.  I have been heckling redskin fan friends all day on text.

Anything short of Jay Gruden/Dan Snyder sex tape will be a let down.

So, if the season gets cancelled, how many season ending injuries do you predict for the Eagles?

I’m going with 47.

Im not detecting a lie

Bribing refs

What a mess

You know it's bad, when FBI gets involved

Considering DCs record over the last decade if Snyder was bribing the refs he sure didn't get his moneys worth

He was 3rd string from the moment he broke his arm this past preseason.  Then they made the move to bring in another QB in Round 2.  In other words, the messaging is... they aren't that happy with Suds as the #2.  Not listening to words, watching actions.

For 2020, they might spend a 2 on the gadget.   But, moving forward, Hurts isn't strictly a gadget player.    But, limited offseason opportunities to work with the offense, Hurts will need a small sample of the offense to really focus on, and I think Suds should be the #2, and I'd dress both.  They'll have to find another position to deactivate on game days.

They could, but from what I've seen, the case loads in Europe are generally far lower than in the US.  Texas - Dallas and Houston, AZ - Pheonix, FL - Miami, Tampa and Jax are exploding right now.  That's a big chunk of the league.   PA just cracked down yesterday more on public gathering, maxing out at 25!  That's less than 1/4 of who's going to be on the field (including sidelines).  Just on the field, there will be about 30 (counting officials).  What can the NFL do in the midst of this?

In hindsight, maybe drafting a gadget is fine this season. I don’t believe the eagles took Hurts with that expectation. If Suds keeps the #2 spot it’s strictly because of Covid imo.

It seems reasonable to expect an increase to flexibility with roster size and gameday active players for 2020 in some capacity.

Miracopa county up here is getting crushed everyday. Like 3 weeks ago miracopa county had 60 percent of the cases in all of Arizona. Somewhat understandable as they have just about 5.6 times the population of the second largest county in Pima county.  Pima county which is the second largest in population was at 10.3%. In 3.5 weeks it’s now 66% of the cases in miracopa county and 9.4% in Pima county. Pima county it’s not great but not nearly as bad. Phoenix/miracopa county every day is like 1500 new cases at minimum.
