Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Thanks for narrowing it down for me.

I wonder if there were more salacious details that the lawyers made them leave out.

It’s a pretty solid article and would have had more of an impact without the hype.

It's bad allegations, but when media members make it sound like this is the next Penn State story, it's going to get an underwhelming reaction if it's anything less than Snyder forcing cheerleaders in his room to blow lines of cocaine off their bodies.

BOMBSHELL!!!!!

On a serious note, it's a shame that the organization made it so difficult on these women. Sexual harassment is a problem, but it isn't some groundbreaking thing that gets owners removed. Especially since I highly doubt this is the only team that this is happening on.

Well I think it depends on what other owners think about it.  I mean there’s nothing illegal but there’s a ton of civil claims.  What liability does the NFL have if they do nothing.

Tell that to Jerry Richardson

Media members and anyone else who hyped this story up did these women a disservice. Had this article dropped without anyone knowing, it would have gotten a stronger reaction. But a majority of people out there are now saying, "That's it?".

This is "locker room" culture. I'm not excusing it, but I'd be willing to bet this stuff has happened to at least half the teams out there over the years.

Ok.  To change the subject to sports:

Phillies playing intra-squad game.  It's being carried on their website.

Pivetta pitched 4 innings - scoreless, hitless - before being pulled.  Walked 4, I think.   I tuned in late.  But from what I last heard, it sounds like Velasquez has the inside track on the 5th starter spot... but there might be 6.   Who knows?

Yup. The only thing that did bother me (and this is in general as well) is that it mentioned someone being hot mic'ed and talking about how attractive one of them was. Come on, that isn't sexual harassment. You're gonna tell me women all over the country aren't talking to each other at their workplaces about how hot their male coworkers are? Yea, ok

NFLN is on drugs.  They are trying to say the Ravens and Chiefs is the best rivalry in the NFL now.   I didn’t even know it was a rivalry.

Those fools go with whatever is new.  That was the AFC CG, so there ya go.   As pathetic as it is, I'd put Saints-Vikings above that.  Or even Saints-Rams.  Both have some bad blood... but none of these 'rivalries' are worth talking about.

Edit:  total mental cramp.   That was Chiefs Titans.   NVM.

Bias aside not including PHI/DAL, I've always liked the Pittsburgh/Cleveland rivalry. It's been mostly one-sided but the fans hate each other, as do the teams. And it was elevated with what Garrett did to Rudolph. You need to have spite like that for a real rivalry, not just two good teams. The AFC North has had some good ones over the years. PIT/BAL was always fun when they would just smash each other.

Yes, the great Chiefs/Ravens rivalry of a whopping 10 games played against each other of all time

The article is really bad and highlights a disgusting culture ran by disgusting people, but the way it was hyped I was expecting something Epstein-ish. These random reporters way over hyped it and imo did these women, who were subjected to an abusive culture and work environment, a major disservice.

You didn't quote me but that is what I said. It's messed up but they made it seem like it was way more than that. It's wrong but I'm just not surprised by it. I was expecting something else

Not saying metoo isn't a big deal though(I feel like I need to make that disclaimer in each post )

I can't say enough how Fing excited I was that Howie got Wentz some damn speed that can catch. You just know he was dying to air it out for awhile. Plus it helping with the underneath. Damnit I was so excited.

Now this pandemic screwed it all up

I think it's a good bet that significant things were left out of the article.

It is disturbing that several of the accused men didn’t get fired or the chance to retire until this past week.
