At this point I’m forced too cause they aren’t firing howie mid draft or right before. Again if they dealt dillard and got 11 to me that wouldn’t be a bust. That’s capitalizing on dillard. He went 22 in a Weaker draft class if i got 11 for him and walked away with someone like CeeDee lamb and they draft someone like Ezra Cleveland id be pretty happy. I think personally Cleveland has a chance to be a really good LT. His athleticism is off the charts and he’s much younger than dillard. 
 

that said i don’t see them walking away with 11 for dillard. Just saying if howie did it then I’d not be mad

We're not getting that compensation, it's already been reported that the Eagles fielded offers for him and were underwhelmed. He would be a legit bust and at that point a change would need to be made. Howie doesn't need to be fired, but draft powers would have to be given to someone else.

All this negative buzz around Dillard sucks.  First of all that it would mean he’s a major miss (and honestly didn’t think he looked bad at PS). Then add that his value has plummeted too. Holding out hope it’s all smoke.

 

Maybe I’m an optimist, but trust Bowen on this. Doesn’t mean they aren’t down on him though

I'm hoping just for my anxiety's sake that they trade up, so we can call it a night and not have to worry about what will happen for like 2-3 hours.

Oh i agree i don’t think they would. However like i said originally I’d have to see what they got for him before making that assumption. Mine was more of a hypothetical if he magically pulled that off i couldn’t be mad. I think you’d have to wait to see the finished product before just saying it’s awful. Can say it once we see the actual return  

Also i full expect interested teams to downplay him as well to lower his value. Just like the eagles saying we aren’t dealing him to not lose some value. Neither are going to say we love dillard and the other we hate him and want him gone.

The return is irrelevant to the fact that another draft mistake was made. Dillard wasn't drafted to be traded a year later for any kind of return. He was drafted because the Eagles thought he was their LT of the future, if he is anything other than that, then it is a massive draft failure, one that should be a tipping point for change.
