again hypothetically (not likely) it’s a bust if howie magically landed dillard for pick 11? Not in my opinion. I don’t care if they thought he was LT. If someone overpays for his value I’m ok with it.

Because Eagles are considering trading him not due to teams breaking down the door offering up stuff for him, they are doing so because the Eagles have concerns about him, and as a result want to move on from him. The return is irrelevant because he was drafted to be a cornerstone of the franchise, if after drafting him they realized they don't even want him on the team anymore that is a major red flag for the people that drafted him.

Just because another team pulls their asses out of the fire doesn't mean we should ignore why they got their asses in the fire in the first place. Pipe dreaming about an over payment that is not coming should not cloud the fact that they would have drafted another bust that they don't even want anymore after only 1 year.

i often think the org. "leaks" multiple stories to multiple beat writers to make sure no one knows what they're doing.

every "in" a beat writer has is actually being told what to say to the beat writer as a "leak", that way false stories are all over the place.

the beat writers DO have a contact that does work for the birds...  but the birds are telling them what to say to the beat writers.

or the other team values him so much they give us more than he's worth and the other stuff you've heard is a bunch of made up BS. Do you actually think the Jets are so dumb they can't read the same stuff that we do?

whatever floats your boat. No offense gonna wait to see the entire picture before declaring it a bust. If they walk away with CeeDee lamb and Ezra Cleveland trading away dillard in my book that’s a win. Frankly i think Cleveland has as much upside as dillard. I actually like him better then i did dillard. Frankly i liked dillard but i thought he he was very questionable in run blocking to justify him going as high as people thought his pass pro was elite. He also played against only one drafted DE entire last season at wazzu. Don’t want to hear it but there might have been a reason dillard was dropping.

Idk stoutland has worked with him from last May all the way to January. I’m guessing they trust his opinion. That’s about the only way i see them checking it off
