I would be 100% thrilled with Reagor if CeeDee didn't go to Dallas.  That really burns me.  Once SF passed on him twice Howie should have moved up (maybe there was no taker when he tried).

I love Reagor.  He has an attitude and game like Steve Smith when he was with the Panthers.  He can be that player for the Eagles.  Now pair him with a bigger WR at 53 and I'm good.

I don't doubt that he tried to move up for Lamb.  I just am not sure that he had any willing partners.  Also it's not a bad thing for them to have held on to their picks at this point.  They are in position to potentially move up in the 2nd or 3rd round.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Anyone who wanted Jefferson over Reagor just don't know. Should we have traded before Dallas to get CeeDee? Guess we find out with the pick tmw.

So I take it that NOW people want Jefferson?

I've been pro-Jefferson all along.

We needed a Z

we got a Z

no complaint here

now get another Wr by the end of the fourth

Not only that but it took a 4th round pick to move up o e spot a bit earlier in the draft.  Can't imagine the complaining on what it would take to move up to 16 from 21.  Bottom line is that best way to get players ranked higher in the draft is to lose more the season prior. Could have tanked against Dallas......🤮

Exactly. We traded picks for A corner. It’s his job to go cover these guys.
Eagles need to pick another WR tomorrow.

He looks very fast. Someone said drop issues is that the case?

That's a concern.

Question...

Reach because he shouldn't have been the fourth WR taken or that #21 was too early.

I’m content with Reagor.

Would I have rather gotten cute and traded down for him? Sure.

But we needed speed and a dynamic playmaker. Reagor is that guy.

My thoughts exactly.  A trade down would have been great.  But Howie, understandably, just wasn't ready to risk it.

If they really liked Reagor, I can understand that they were confident standing pat at 21 for him to be available.

Idk man. Reagor will always be compared to Ceedee forever. I'm not sure he will be able to compare.

Prove me wrong.

Only a muppet that doesn't understand football would compare Reagor to Lamb.  Apples and Oranges.

Imagine thinking Reagor is slow because he ran one bad 40. JFC

Jefferson and Reagor's careers will be closely monitored. If Jefferson is better and Lamb kill us for years, this board will never let Howie hear the end of it and rightfully so.

This is one of the things I was worried about. The Eagles heard for a year straight how slow their team was. It was beaten into their heads so much that it seems like they were totally and completely fixated on getting a "speed guy." If you want speed, that's fine, but you can't be so fixated on one skill that you pass on superior talents. And that's what they did.

They could have went up and got Lamb. They chose not to. There has to be a reason and it's apparent for them it was speed speed speed. He better be an instant stud or they are going to look really bad for what transpired here tonight.

Perhaps the reason is it would have taken too much draft capital from a team that has quite a few holes.

There are plenty of reasons to NOT like Reagor...or any pick.  But you can't watch his highlight reel and go "MEH."  You just can't do it.

I have reached the point where I am contemplating actively rooting for Howie to be fired. He's the biggest anchor around our neck, the weakest link in the organization.

I don't care if the Eagles drafted my diarrhea I would still root for them. Not jumping up and down for the Reagor pick, but I'm still rooting for him to prove everyone wrong.

All the pro-Reagor guys are about to learn that it takes more than speed to beat defenses deep. Much more goes into it.

I completely disagree. What’s more impressive than his speed to me is his ability to go up and get it. He was always the go to guy and the defense knew it and they couldn’t stop it. Even if you question his speed, his ability to high point and outside ability make him a better fit for us than Jefferson. If Alshon was healthy and Desean was a lock to stay healthy, Jefferson would be a bettter fit. That’s not the situation.

So he fits right in...

The Vikings were taking Reagor with the next pick.

Let me give it a whirl.

the Eagles really like Reagor’s combination of quickness, competitiveness, upside with a quality QB and probably his character.

so they picked him.

that wasn’t hard at all!

I’m just not that impressed. Hope I’m wrong. The player he reminds me of is Josh Huff...

We’ve been burned too many times to trust a guy to fall. Take your boy.

These guys are going to get compared forever. Come on dude. You know the fans.

The man catches less than 50% of the passes thrown to him in the weakest defensive conference in the country and he's suppose to be our guy. Wow.

I don't think anyone watching the Eagles for the last 3 years would have a great idea of what it takes to beat a defense deep.

Im very happy with Reagor. Yeah I wanted Lamb and him going to Dallas sucks but you can’t force the teams in front of Dallas to trad with you. Do you give up the farm?

I think Reagor fits here better than Jefferson. If that 4.2 speed from his pro day is true, this is probably a steal. He runs say a 4.28 at the combine and he’s gone by 21.

Trading back sounds great in theory but wouldn’t Minnesota be better off pairing Thielen with a speed guy like Reagor over Jefferson? If Reagor is your guy, take Reagor

There are good slot WRs available in every draft. Some of them go late.

There are not many Jalen Reagors in every class. Last year, there were 2 (Brown, Hardman) and they go quickly.
