Wanting to keep your high picks is fine. But they better nail them.

Eagles fans don't forget.

Don't forget what exactly?

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Honestly that comment was probably directly aimed at lamb. Raiders seemed set on Ruggs so would have costed much more than 53 to jump them. Broncos went Juedy and every mock ever had them taking a WR, so can’t imagine they wanted to trade out for anything less than a King’s ransom.

so to jump up from 21 to 16 probably would have cost 53 is what it sounds like.

I definitely believe part of their analysis was that Lamb and Ruggs were not significantly better than Reagor.  I guess we will see whether that ends up being true.

Super Bowl 52

I think a lot of teams got their WR now.

I think we may have a really nice opportunity for a very modest trade up (come on, who cares about a few extra backups with all those 4ths) to get our pick of the 2nd round WR liter.

3rd round...best defensive player available.

2nd round...use the 4th's to trade up and get your WR.

We need WR more than any other team. I hope with so many going round one, we will be a good position to get a WR we want in rounds 2 or 3.

Now is where the depth of the draft at WR gets tested.  The 2019 draft had NUMEROUS studs after round 1.

Higgins/Mims/Claypool/Hamler/Duvernay/Pittman/Shenault

How are they going to measure up to Metcalf/Hardman/Mclaurin/Slayton/Samuel/Campbell/Brown?

Well one won't.

Wouldn't mind a minor trade up to get some talent on D.

Almost added "especially Gladney" .

Someone falls maybe a comp 4th, but at this point a lot of talent should still be there at 53.

Not surprised by higgins but i thought GB would take mims

shenault is really intriguing rd two

They held a grudge about Earl Thomas until the Eagles won a Super Bowl.

Fans will bring up Lamb and/or Jefferson every day for years depending on how things shake out with Reagor and whoever they get in the 2nd round.

RBs going early and often in RD2 is great for us. The tier 2 DTs haven't gone yet either. All good news for us.

AR is nuts.

yup.  there are a LOT of good wr's in this year's draft..  not many though had the explosiveness of reagor to change a game in one play, from his side of the field.  something the eagles NEEDED.

Oh for sure it was. Atlanta sitting there at 16 with the guy that they want on the board. They knew the Eagles would need to jump dallas to get lamb because he wasn’t going to make it to them and he was going to Dallas if you were still on the board. Not only that the Eagles didn’t likely want lamb being inside the division. The Falcons had so much leverage in this they could ask for 53 and it’s reasonable because you need the wide receiver and you also don’t want him going to Dallas. 103 was not going to get it done alone. And throwing fourth round picks into also wasn’t going to get it done

The bigger issue here is the Eagles ineptitude at drafting corners and WRs and trades cost them a third with darby, a third going for slay, third with tate and the two picks were Jones and Douglas have not worked out. All those assets could’ve been used in other drafts to build up the team so you could have more ammo in this draft. That All extra ammo you could’ve had in other draft to dress other positions And hit. Then still have more picks in this draft that you could’ve used to package up and move up to get lamb. The Eagles poor drafting and trades (Besides slay) Not working out for them caught up to them in this draft because if Jones, darby or Douglas (2 of 3 pan) out you don’t have to send a pick over to the Lions and maybe you can package 2 3rds to move up to 16.

Great pick by Andy.

That's now 40-point offense.

Delpit and Fulton are still on the board.  It just seems like the media is always very off on the secondary and safety evaluations.

Michael Ojemudia is the guy I want in Round 4.  Perfect Cover 3 CB, IMO.

Andy got his next Westbrook.

It’s his westbrook 2.0.

So 21 picks until our pick and Higgins, Shenault, Mims, Gross-Matos, Hamler, Swift, Fulton, Delpit, Winfield Jr., all still on the board

Higgins, Shenault, Mims, Hamler are all good round 2 prospects.

Wow

Clyde Edwards-Helaire = Brian Westbrook

It's worth reading up on Shenault's injuries.  No doctor over here but torn labrum (played through-- end of season surgery), missed 3 games same season to turf toe (Davante Adams missed what..like 7 this season?) and his core injury apparently was an overuse injury.  Wonder if it's lifting related.  Either way, these don't necessarily scream injury prone to me like knee injuries do.  He can stand to play a bit less recklessly and probably not run the ball so much.  Still think he can be a beast.

He's an early ROTY candidate.  Not because he's such a good pick, but because the Chiefs face nothing but light fronts on their heels.  He's going to be wide open lanes when they do run the ball.

Dolphins are just confused.  What are they doing?   I guess Xavier Howard is on the outs?

I’m still wondering if he gets suspended

Doug clearly has thought about Reagor in the offense:
