Sure.  A team desperate for young talent should put all their eggs into one basket.

Thats why I like Higgins for the 2nd Round pick.  That puts Higgins at X, and they could mix Desean and Reagor at the slot and Z.  Desean's 50+ yard TDs came from the slot against Washington.

yep!

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Michael Ojemudia is the guy I want in Round 4.  Perfect Cover 3 CB, IMO.

Give me Dane Jackson.

Give me Van Jefferson to pair with Reagor.

I'll take DPJ or Duvernay as well.

Didn’t say i agreed with it. However i could see him doing so.

however I’d also argue the fact their corner drafting and trades not working out caught up to them tonight.

Id toss pitman in there too

I kept watching him trying to find something to really like... and I won't deny that I might have some bias against USC due to Agholor...

So, can you sell me on Pittman?

Does this return remind you of anyone?

You’re a broken record, man ..... but this made me LOL 😂

Looking at the board, I think one of Mims/Claypool/Shenault/Hamler WILL be there at 53.

3 WRs went before us in round 1, two after.  I don't see 5 WRs (Higgins will probably go first) going in round 2 before between 33-52.  Now way.  The 2019 draft saw 2 WRs go in that interval.

Even though the Eagles need multiple WRs in this draft, do you see them drafting WRs with their first two picks? I am not sure I can see it....especially if there is BPA at a position of need (other than WR) sitting there.

I would love to have Laviska Shenault paired with Reagor, but my hunch is the pick at #53 will be edge rusher or S

I think the Vikings may have wanted Reagor over Jefferson as well.

There's no reason for them to bring up Lamb.

Jerry is an idiot.

I'm sure Lamb can be a good player but they win games when Zeke is the primary guy.  With Cooper, Lamb and Gallup they wont all get their numbers.

They have more needs on defense.  I was more worried about them getting Chaisson.

That's alright, now that we drafted a viable deep threat, I'm cool with taking what we can get out of Desean as a bridge to Reagor's development.

I just wouldn't invest too much time in finding creative ways to use both Reagor and Desean at the same time.  Reagor will have an adjustment period while Desean makes some great plays for us...and then Desean will be knicked up by the time Reagor is ready and then gone in 2021.

As soon as I saw that bone chilling grin of Jerry Jones I knew they were taking Lamb. It is such a Jerry Jones pick and he lives Oklahoma guys

Not a single safety gone in round 1, and Diggs and Johnson still there.  That would be a solid second round target.

If Higgins, Shenault, Hamler or Mims make there, it’s definitely a consideration.

I think they’ll be gone though.

Good.  They had JJAW as their top WR in the draft last year.

Nope....didn't run horizontally before scoring!

Not directed at you, but that line of thinking.  This team needs youth... lots of it and speed... lots of it.

Their lack of draft picks, their trades for players like Tate and even to an extent Ajayi and Howard has hurt.  Now, I expect that they might get a comp pick back for Howard... but trading for guys and getting only a year or less from them for 3rd and 4th round picks hurts.   The CBs... Jones and Douglas, had they worked out, would be better, because they wouldn't have had to trade for Slay... but they have.  Not to mention the trade for Darby as well.  Too many misses in both trades and picks.  Gotta hope Slay is everything they think he is for what they are paying for.

They haven't drafted well, and that needs to change.  But, trading up for guys doesn't fix the problem it just gives them fewer options.  And some of our later round draft picks have been better than the earlier ones.  2nd round pick on Jones, 7th round pick on Mills.  For as much grief as Mills has taken around here, he's been way way better than Jones.  Which is why when people poo-poo 7th round picks I roll my eyes.  No, they aren't likely to hit, but they are a lottery ticket.  And when you are drafting poorly, you need as many tickets as you can get.

Is this the first time you watched the draft?

Yeah... that dropped punt reminds me very much of the dropped walk-off punt return by Desean.

The great thing is that even in a shortened offseason, they can have Reagor focus solely on the Z and move DJax into the slot to get both on the field.
It’s gonna be fun.

Yeah he wasn’t an option at our pick like Thomas was that draft. Fans really have this thing where they just assume anything and everything is possible in sports and it’s Howies fault if it doesn’t happen. We could have had lamb or Ruggs or anyone, Howie just didn’t do it. Idiot! ..is that what really happened?

Now I’m not going to make excuses for him, he’s made bad picks, he’s screwed up. But you can’t possibly fault him for something that might not have been possible without selling the farm. If information surfaces that we could have traded up for a 4th and he didn’t..okay you can question that. But something tells me that wasn’t the case.

Does it absolutely suck that Dallas got Lamb? Yes. 100% yes. But there’s a good chance we couldn’t trade up without giving up way too much..when we have plenty of holes to fill.

That reeked of a McCarthy pick. He likes airing it out. Never ran the ball in GB even when he had Aaron Jones on the roster who exploded this past season. They want to put the offense on Dak's shoulders instead of Zeke's.

That sounds like a good plan, but I want to see how tomorrow plays out.

I have zero interest in either Alshon or JJAW as our short or long term X.  Depending on the fit of the next WR they draft, I wouldn't be totally opposed to seeing Reagor as the X in this offense.  Traditionally, it has been a bigger guy, but it really doesn't need to be.
