I hope they go WR in round 2. If Jalen Reagor is the best WR addition you make in this offseason that just isn't good enough as far as I'm concerned. Mims and Reagor or Higgins and Reagor softens the blow just a tiny bit, but I'll lament Lamb forever, he was my guy. Watched him every Saturday.  🤮🤧😭😩

Someone on the radio, maybe Cowherd, was saying he didnt like Lamb.  Said TCU's Gladney locked him up pretty well.  I dont know myself as I dont watch Oklahoma much.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

I think the Chiefs might make a run at 16-0 next year.

Where is the ravens game next year? Am I opinion that’s about the only team in the AFC that’s capable of even coming close to beating them

As others have stated, Lamb going to that one place sorta sucks. But let’s be honest - Dallas neglected other glaring needs to pick him. I truly don’t believe adding him to that offense is going to turn them into some type of juggernaut. That team bagan to slowly cripple themselves the moment they poured money into Zeke.

At the bare minimum, until 53 is chosen, which most believe is the bare minimum it would have cost to move up for Lamb, it’s impossible to feel very much about it.

They have a premium paid RB who wants to be fed. A $20M WR who got benched for a lack of effort in the most important game of the season. An emerging WR in Gallup, and now spent a 1st to replace Randall Cobb in the slot, instead of replacing their actual good players like Jones and Quinn. Lamb was a Jerry Jones desperation pick that makes no sense.

Dallas sucks and I Fing hate them, but they draft a lot better than the Eagles do. I'll give them that much.

I think their roster is more talented than ours at the moment. We have the advantage in coaching. This division will be a dog fight.

I’m sorry... I know it’s highlights and he had some drops and some questionable blocking effort. But I don’t see how you can watch this and not see everything you want to see in a WR. It’s littered with explosion. More "go up and get it” catches over defenders than any other WR in this draft. Huge vertical, concentration and "my ball” mentality on contested catches, and at about 6:45 you see a couple Desean clone plays. One burning on a deep post like that one against Wash, and a punt return almost identical to the meadowlands miracle, minus the drop. The kid isn’t just explosive and fast, he plays big. I couldn’t be happier with the pick. Most complete WR in the draft. My concerns aren’t his hands. It’s his attitude. I didn’t live his interviews and I don’t love the blocking effort. But I love the skills he shows. Not as fast as Ruggs, not the route runner Jeudy is, and not as big as Lamb. But is more complete than any of them. If I’m wrong, I’ll devour crow. I’ll never pound the table so hard for a WR again. But I don’t think I’m wrong. I think he’ll complement Wentz and Doug perfectly. I may not even whine at bubble screens anymore. 😂

i concur

21/53 is +170 on the draft value chart vs 16. If the Falcons had any real interest in trading down, that easily would have gotten it done. I doubt they asked for more than what already was a huge win value-wise.

Ah... and there is the crux of the issue.  It seems they had no real interest in trading down...

I’m guessing there’s a 12-14 game season, so that could make it even more likely.

They've got tough away games at Baltimore and NO.  Aside from the whole any given Sunday thing, they are going to be a heavy, heavy favorite in every other game.  Undefeated is very much on the table for them.

Shanahan has me feeling a lot better about my love for Aiyuk.

You left out the declining talent on defense.

That's what you are here for.

Why would it seem that way? It seems like they wanted 53 to do it and Howie said no.

I think the best hope was San Francisco but that would’ve needed someone to take Kinlaw before 14. Once that happens Denver wasn’t trying to trade out and I don’t think Atlanta was either and if either one of those teams were going to they were gonna make you pay a kings ransom

Ravens take a step back next year. They’re loading up on FA guys on defense but the Lamar shtick is going to get figured out. You saw what happened when they had no north/south run game in the playoffs

True. However i still think dallas with McCarthy is better than with Garrett. Also they have won the division 3 out of the last 5 years and then imploded in the playoffs those years. Like the redskind and giants Suck. I wouldn’t say they suck. Just not elite.

Dallas always Sucks.   It's one of the constants of the universe.

Yup...if it was Stephen Jones making the pick, it probably would have been Chaisson, which is someone they really need.

Investing that heavily in WR does not and never has won Super Bowls.

I don’t disagree but go look around the afc. It’s not that great of a conference. Patriots are not gonna be very good. Deshaun Watson and the Texas I have no clue how good they’re going to be because Bill O’Brien keeps trading away good players for washed up injury prone players. Really the AFC has the Steelers, the ravens, and Maybe the Texans. Who else is competing in that conference against the Chiefs? I don’t buy the colts or broncos or bills

The brighter the jewels shine in Jerry’s tomb the better it feels when they don’t give him the eternal life he strives for.

Greg Ward Jr. will sleep as comfortably as Jerry tonight.

They have a good QB, a very good offensive line, a very good front 7 on defense, and a coach who has won a Super Bowl before. Granted, I'm not big on McCarthy, but he has as many rings as Doug does. Dallas is a good team. They have flaws just like we do. But they're strong in the areas that matter right now except corner. But we won a Super Bowl without great corners, so it varies.

I meant besides the Chiefs that would be competing with them

The NFC in my opinion is way tougher conference then the AFC right now. It’s going to be a dogfight imo.

🤣   I really would have loved to see him go #13.  Nice job by them levering the Bucs to get that extra pick... and I believe they really loved Aiyuk.  They didn't wait to see if he'd fall to them at 31, but despite having no mid-round picks coming into this draft still moved up to make sure they landed him.

This does fit the pre-draft narrative of player rankings being all over the place.  Same with Jordyn Brooks going 27.

It’s not impossible. But IF (big if) Desean stays healthy, JJAW becomes serviceable, Ward stays the same or gets a little better, Reagor plays to his talent and we get another WR who can play, especially with some speed, with our RB and TEs, our offense is pretty darn solid. There’s some speed in that scenario and plenty of size. Our defense needs some help. But the offense has lots of potential, albeit lots of question marks. KC has proven talent across the board. They’re the more talented for sure. But if things go right, we could be pretty good. But lots of "ifs”.
