Just looking over the rest of round 1 after the Eagles.  The Ravens just do Ravens things.  Queen is going to be a stud there.

Now that the Eagles have Reagor and the 49ers drafted Aiyuk i would be more than happy to give up a 5th or Rasul for Marquise Goodwin.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

For everyone crying about Dallas taking Lamb, I have a question for you.  Is Lamb going to come in and produce better than Cobb did last year, in his rookie year?  He had 828 yards.  My guess is no but even if he does, I don't think his impact will be much greater.  Next year, they will have to let Gallup walk.  So unless Lamb turns into Julio Jones and Cooper starts to show up in big games, I would calm the f down.  They will be tempted to throw the ball more with these weapons and get away from the run.  Dallas is best when they run the ball.  Oh yeah, they have a ton of other holes such as OL, DL, CB, and their LB's with the drop off of Smith and injury prone LVE.

Ok, my more uneducated than 1st rd dream scenarios, tonight I most want Higgins at 53, trade up in the 3rd for Logan Wilson.

Y'all buying this interest in Hamler after drafting Reagor?  Trying to imagine what that looks like... how's Hamler against corners at the LOS?

Baltimore just sits near the bottom of Round 1 every year and scoops up whatever falling stud is still on the board.     Not that the Ravens are perfect drafters, and some of their picks bust out too, but man they always seem to get good value based on where they are drafting.    I guess it's gotta be Eric DeCosta who gets the most credit for that.

when they started showing Jefferson playing around on his phone right before our pick, how crazy was that?

I wonder if his buddies were fooled when the national feed came to his house.  Maybe that was just the Vikes calling

After having a night to sleep on it, plus watching some more breakdowns of Reagor, I like the pick and understand it much more. I think had (i) Dallas not drafted Lamb at 17, and (ii) Reagor ran better at the combine, people would be in love with this pick. Seeing him on tape, plus his virtual pro day, I am buying that he just ran slow at the combine and the "real" 40 time is around 4.3. Here are my thoughts, which nobody asked for:

1. His vertical leap is insane, meaning he is much better on contested and 50/50 balls than a 5'11" guy should be. Some of the tape of him grabbing fade routes is impressive.

2. Watching the tape, he is quick as hell and runs good routes. Other players viewed him as the fastest guy in the Big XII, and he did a good job setting up corners.

3. His QB play was brutal -- a lot of the time he could have scored a TD with a better throw, ended up having to leap/dive for a poorly thrown ball.

4. He is a dynamic punt returner

5. He seems to have zero interest in blocking...can this be fixed?

As for Dallas and Lamb -- everyone needs to calm down. I LOVE that they went WR in round 1 instead of Chaisson or another impact defender. They swapped in Lamb for Cobb -- an upgrade, but nothing earth shatteting. Meanwhile, Quinn and Jones are still gone, LVE is still made of glass, Frederick is still retired and Dak Pedestrian is still their QB. They didn't get much better last night and did the Jerry thing -- went with the big name.

This breakdown was good -- yes, the analysts are clearly big fans.

My wish list for round 2:

1.  Hamler.  Give someone an inch, they’ll take a mile.  Reagor only increased the appetite for speed.

2: tie: Mims/Claypool/Shenault.  Each has their own unique traits and could complement Reagor very well.

I’d be very surprised if one of those 4 are not available at 53.  But I’d be fine with using our 4th round picks to move up.

Yes, I see him producing more than Cobb.  He is going to be better than Gallup.  Why are people trying to sugar coat the Cowboys making a heck of a draft pick? It burns that they got him ahead of the Eagles.

You can argue the Eagles have just as many holes to fill.  LB, DE, Center, RB, WR2, CB.

Pipe dream for me.

Hamler and Reagor would be incredible together.

Im selling anything I hear though.  We heard Howie was hell bent on trading up for Lamb.  Definitely not true.  We heard they were sold on Jefferson if he’s there at 21.  Not true.

The media was so wrong on their insider info this year.

Reagor also provides huge value in the RZ.  42" vertical helps him play "above the rim"  He made plenty of catches over bigger corners.  He goes up and gets it.

On a positive note, one thing I do like about Reagor, other than the speed and athleticism of course, is that he seems to be a pretty rocked up 200-ish lbs.   He has excellent weight room strength and it shows up on his body and in his play.      I am all for adding speed, but super fast tinker toys scare me because of the durability concerns.

I think this is why I would really like to add Denzel Mims now...fast, big, and strong.   Not likely to happen because Mims goes in the Top 10 picks of the 2nd round probably.    And the Eagles might have a chance to have their pick of a stud LB at #53.     But Reagor and Mims would go a long way towards improving the speed and athleticism at WR.

I'm scared this is you from the future coming back to tell us Reagor was a massive flop and that Jefferson just broke Jerry Rice's records.

I don't follow the Ravens' roster closely, but I wonder if they have more flexibility to take whoever falls because with better overall drafting success, their holes don't end up nearly as glaring.  What a luxury to be able to go BPA that fits your style and not feel like you are chasing your tail every draft.

One last thing about Reagor and then I’m in full blown second round mode.

Before the draft process, I literally felt the 2020 draft would be a failure if we didn’t get Ruggs or Reagor.  And both were pretty indistinguishable.

After the combine, I figured...wow, what a disappointment, this guy dropped himself out of round 1.

Then pre draft I started looking at the game tape of all the WRs.  I had no real emphasis or draw to Reagor at this point.  And after seeing everyone‘s film, all I could think is why aren’t we all hoping for Reagor at 21?

Re Logan Wilson - there are three Draft Boards I prefer to use (Huddle Report, Draft Board Guru and NFL Rough Draft), since they have been consistently the most accurate over the past 5 years.

All three have Wilson tagged as the #68 overall prospect (he is ranked #54 overall at NFL.com)

My dream scenario would be Howie trading back a little from #53, drafting Wilson, then trading up from #103 to snap up Antonio Gibson, the Offensive Weapon from Memphis. Or Lynn Bowden if you prefer.

Reagor + Wilson + Gibson/Bowden = the Eagles got better on both sides of the ball

100% agree.  He is not a small WR.  Been saying it all along he is like Steve Smith was on the Panthers.  I too want to see him paired with a big WR but I would rather Pittman.

I really, really don’t like trading down in round 2.

Round 1 is burdened with expectations where you NEED production and really must balance a high floor with potential.

Round 2 is when you can have some fun with higher risk guys and huge talent.  Sitting at 21, we are right on the back end of being able to capitalize on those guys who fall.

Trade back any further and we are just going to get guys that most likely project as backups even in optimistic scenarios. Trading back in round 2 to trade up in round 3 just doesn’t do anything for me.

In the slot where he projects he wouldnt have to worry about it.

Regarding Reagor, in addition to his unwillingness to block, I think his other main issue is he runs too fast at times which makes him lose his footing.  This problem should be correctable though.  He has to learn when to slow down a gear to make a cut and then turn it back on when he is past the defender.

I think it’s cause we’ve been a playoff team for 3 years straight. We need to lose more so we can do better in the draft. 😤

It’s just me tired of realizing that we just miss out everytime.  I’m not going to kid myself in thinking, well we don’t know what he tried to do or who he tried to make a trade with, behind the scenes.  It’s too many cases now where we settle.

Yeah, I'm legit sorry you feel like that. Does it help that there were many here saying Reagor was a very good fit and were hopeful he'd be the pick, whether at 21 or with a modest trade down? This isn't an "out of left field" pick

You don't like Goedert?

Does it count for last season when they just didn't expect Dillard to be there?

Agree completely. His vertical is just ridiculous.  42" is tied for second in the entire combine.  Hell it would've been 3rd at the NBA combine, and more importantly it shows on the field.  But he's not just fast, he's not just a freak athlete. His routes and footwork are highly polished, working with one of the best WR coaches out there in David Robinson.

Big fan of the pick.
