Reagor to the Saints was something we discussed prior to the draft, specifically about Jefferson already being gone and then having the Saints leap over the Eagles and grab Reagor, exactly like they did with Cooks.

I believe we discussed it. I thought the guy at wide receiver if the Saints were going to take one was reagor. With Ted ginn out of the picture and the saints with Thomas and sanders they could use a vertical deep threat. It made sense the saints and Vikings would have a ton of interest in reagor.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

He’s by no means slow, but don’t see him as a true burner in the NFL.

On tape, at times, he may appear not as fast because of his running style.  But pay attention to who he is running by and look at the field when he is at full speed (when it is zoomed in) and that will give you better perspective.

He also said this.  Not sure how you can believe Werder when he contradicts himself

welcome to the media in 2020.  Fit whatever narrative you want.  Say contradicting things to make everyone happy, not spread actual news.

We can't, 13.6 million cap hit.  Next year though, I'm all aboard!

OK - of the playoff teams last season how many would you have taken over the Eagles? I think it's the Chiefs, the Ravens and then I mean you have to consider that the team would have another QB in place of Wentz.  Maybe SF.  Maybe the Rams although they missed the playoffs.  NO has drafted well as has Dallas but I don't think I would take Dak over Wentz.  You have to consider the team having probably Foles instead of Wentz.

I believe this is true, but I said yesterday the Eagles would have trouble finding a trade partner.  Browns and Jets needed to draft OL, Raiders took Ruggs, Niners pick got snagged by TB, DEN was all in on WR, ATL was all in on CB.

In this scenario the only way to get a deal done is by a huge overpay.

I would have gone with Jefferson but I think Reagor would have been my next choice.   The concentration drops concern me.    Call it Agholor/Gibson/KGB/JMat syndrome.

I think a lot of those so-called 'concentration' drops are more 'looking to run before securing the ball' drops.  I prefer those.   Agholor dropped the ball because he was constantly in fear.  Reagor is very aggressive in his running style... and the sooner he gets the ball the sooner he can unleash those moves.

Personally, I was right there... Jefferson was my guy.  BUT, Reagor was my next guy.  And looking at it from the speed stuff, Reagor blows Jefferson away.  I think Jefferson is the more polished WR.  But, there's no comparison regarding the excitement and athleticism.

I didn't really like Pettis coming out but I have a bias against prospects whose number one calling card is "route running technician." I prefer prospects with explosive traits. Someone like Jeudy I feel like showed both. He was my number 1 receiver in this class. I liked Reagor/Aiyuk over Jefferson. I feel like when a prospect has the burst to threaten a DB right off the line, that gives an awesome foundation to build on. Have high hopes for Reagor based on his physical traits. Have no insight into whether his work ethic or competitive demeanor make it more or less likely that he reaches his potential.

You could listen to Reagor and his coach this morning talking to radio shows.  Both should be here.

You're drunk early today, aren't ya.  :D

Re: Ertz

A casual observer might conclude that Eagles fans have a curious pathology that compels  them to want to trade away their best players.

Mims, Higgins, Pittman and Laviska all can be had in the 2nd.

Reagor and Mims would be way better than just Lamb.

If they worked their butts off, he probably would be an Eagle.  If they didn’t want to give up a 2nd to move up to 16, then they didn’t work their butts off.

You need to tweet this to Schefter.

That’s ridiculous. 😂😂 Lamb isn’t worth that. He’s not Julio Jones. Reagor + a decent player is better than Lamb, as long as they don’t screw up the next pick. Some of you guys are worse than me as far as being emotional. Sheesh

No way Ertz can be traded now. He’s the only reliable, veteran option for Wentz.

If Ertz gets traded you’d inevitably have to run a line up of

Reagor, JJAW, and Ward as your WRs with Goedert as your #1 tight-end. In an offseason with no OTAs and probably limited training camp, we can’t afford to deal veteran, reliable playmakers.

No freakin chance poopypants.

I don’t know if ertz is that right now. I think people believe the Eagles won’t be able to sign Ertz and goedert or afford both of them.

I laid out on the old blog how I think the Eagles might have been planning how to go about this for a while. If the Eagles wind up taking another wide receiver in round two or three I could see them coming up with the logic well if jjaw turns this around, reagor is what we think and this other drafted wide receiver is what we think then we’re not paying the wide receiver position for 3-4 years (Jeffery and desean likely gone in 2021). At point convince themselves they can afford to sign both by not paying as much money at WR and allocated it to TE. I don’t believe that out of the realm of thinking. Also if they get an extension done now with ertz they can injected to the final 2 years of his current contract and make it like he’s only really getting one more guaranteed year in the extension.

I’m just guessing.  If they wanted a 3rd it’s probably a done deal.  If Howie only offered a 4th, then he wasn’t serious about moving up

So John Lynch got a 4th round pick (117 overall) just to let TB skip over them and grab an OT.  He got numerous picks out of CHI just to move from #3 to #2 to take a QB.

Does anyone else think Lynch calls these teams immediately after his pick and tell them other teams are trying to leap frog them -- just to scam additional picks?
