I think we do this out of necessity due to the lack of quality WR options in the last 2 years.  Specifically the decline of Alshon moreso than anything.

To become more explosive we need to get away from it.  That means finding a couple more WR's to complement Reagor long term.

I don’t think that’s completely true. It wasn’t just out of necessity, we want to run a lot of two TE sets. We traded up in round two for Goedert with Ertz in his prime (and also now talking about extending him).

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

4th & 5th for Samuel (does that get it done? Throw in Rasul?).  Have Samuel learn the X and spend some time in the slot.

I don’t think so.  Schefter says they are getting numerous calls every week on him.  It would take at least 3rd round pick plus player likely

nope.

Mayybe if they convert Amik Robertson. I know we seem ok with small safeties but he just seems too small for it.

Mayyybe Blackmon

And then no one till whatever round LJarius Sneed gets drafted in.

I like Blackmon, but I think his knee injury disqualifies him from Philly.

There is no way we are taking a WR at 53. The Eagles aren't going to more or less say:

"Hey JJaw, you Fing suck"

After one season.

If anything I could see a trade down to try and get another third and a late second.

Thinking we go defense and then maybe a WR in the third. Maybe.

Oh, that happens too. The year we drafted Lane, for example.

That was a hideous first round and I feel like most knew it at the time.  We were very lucky, and smart, to escape that top 10 with Lane.  Howie seems to have wanted Lane.  Chip wanted Dion Jordan.  God bless the Dolphins.

Some questioned reagors speed. Some questioned Hamlers speed.

Its just amazing that people can watch these guys and not see it. I have no idea how that is possible.

I was thinking Kendall Wright, but yeah Reagor has that extra gear.

Or, they do it because they have a top 3 TE duo...

I thought that was more about the QB's available than other players.  There were some talented players I mean the Eagles got Lane and Ertz.

Desean and Alshon are probably not with the team in 2021.  JJaw is going to get a shot but it's definitely an indictment of his performance last season.

Depends what type of WR — a Higgins or Pittman selection would make JJAW obsolete.

Hamler or Shenault is a different beast altogether

I may like him, but I have to invoke my argument from last week.  He's been in the league for 3 years and still hasn't settled into the WR position.  He averages 11 yards per catch for his career.  He has one year left on his contract and is 100% walking in a year.  His coach also chose to sign Robbie Anderson to take snaps away...a guy who couldn't generate a 3rd himself with one year left on his deal.

Maybe someone does float them a third, but I find it hard to justify.

33+20 so we should end up with one of them hopefully at 53

Would rather have Lynn Bowden in the 4th.  Need to address LB, S or CB in round 2.

Who is your dark horse NFL players to get traded tonight?

welp this is exactly what Howie wanted when drafting a WR. someone who can grow with Wentz so this is good to hear from Jalen. just sucks they cant get no work in together & start forming that relationship on the field.

I think Wentz can throw it further than 6 ft.

Joshua Perkins made JJAW obsolete.

Id love to see a Rasul trade today. Maybe it wouldnt be till tomorrow.

But this is such a great day 2. We have so many needs. I need more picks.

Aaron Rodgers to the Pats.

hey, thought we cant trade ertz yet maybe they draft one today to gain leverage in contract negotiations and protect against potential of one of Ertz or Goedert wanting to leave.

Albert O anyone?

Agreed

I have a hunch that if McCown comes back, he'll switch over to #13, which is one of the numbers he had worn previously in his tour around the league.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) a 2nd round pick gets a longer rope than that.  I said after Agholor’s rookie season he was going to get enough time to show if he could play or not, strictly because he was a high pick and there was an investment there.  I knew Agholor was garbage very quickly, but I also was pragmatic.

JJAW won’t get as much time, but he will at least get training camp and a bit more

Baring this Curtis Samuel trade kick that I have now beaten to death, I'd really like to use our 4th round picks for something other than 4th round talent.

Consolidate all those 4's and that late late 3 into something that dips into the higher grade talent pool earlier in the day.

Who is everyone's prediction for our next pick?  Doesn't matter trade up or down who will be our next selection?

I'll say Logan Wilson or Chinn
