Fortunately (or unfortunately) a 2nd round pick gets a longer rope than that.  I said after Agholor’s rookie season he was going to get enough time to show if he could play or not, strictly because he was a high pick and there was an investment there.  I knew Agholor was garbage very quickly, but I also was pragmatic.

JJAW won’t get as much time, but he will at least get training camp and a bit more

Jaiqwann Jarrett was cut after one year.

FO saving face is the best thing going for his roster chances.  If he improves modestly, he's a lock.

If we add more WRs, the position suddenly has depth, and he resembles the player he was in 2019 in any way, he's in trouble.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Baring this Curtis Samuel trade kick that I have now beaten to death, I'd really like to use our 4th round picks for something other than 4th round talent.

Consolidate all those 4's and that late late 3 into something that dips into the higher grade talent pool earlier in the day.

According to the Trade Value Chart the Eagles 3rd round comp pick added to the three late 4th round picks add up to 200 points — only enough to move up to pick 78 overall.

Not gonna trade 4 draft picks to go up to the midway point of Round 3

If we go safety, please don't get one of those LOS/SS types that can't cover.  You could find a 7th round CB to do a better job than they can.  Oh wait...we already did.

This is the 2020 NFL.  If you are going to draft a safety in a strong 2nd round, make it one who can cover a WR.

I think  Ravens could be a good trade partner.  maybe 53, 103, and 190 for 60, 92, and 170

Outside CB is now the biggest need on the team.

One of Fulton, Diggs and Johnson is the ideal pick at 53. I feel all 3 will be gone though, making S/LB BPA at positions that make sense.

Doesn't bode well for getting in reps with JJAW though.

Great value in 4th with Justin Strnad, Antonio Gibson, D.J. Wonnum, Bryce Hall, Amik Robertson

nope.

Mayybe if they convert Amik Robertson. I know we seem ok with small safeties but he just seems too small for it.

Mayyybe Blackmon

And then no one till whatever round LJarius Sneed gets drafted in.

NFL.com has Sneed in the 5th.  Not knowing jack about him except those measureables seems like a guy to take a chance on in the 4th.

Definitely need a Safety who can play the centerfielder single-high role.

We need CB help, but we desperately need help at both LB and DE.

Any shot Dantzler is available at 103?

And still desperately need more at WR. Need OL too and RB though that's less important as we could pick up a JAG.

I had brooks as my top backer, not shocked hawks drafted him, bobby Wagner replacement.

Logan Wilson next,followed by

Taylor and Dye

I have a hunch that if McCown comes back, he'll switch over to #13, which is one of the numbers he had worn previously in his tour around the league.

I've seen rumors we have Flacco teed up to be our backup.  I'd much prefer that assuming he comes cheap.  Good place for him to try to pull a Foles and revitalize his career considering how injury prone Wentz is, and Philly is his hometown.

I still think WR with corner a close second

Yeah I mean McCown has his merits but in that play off game he showed his limitations.

yea i still doubt they work out together because of the craziness.

Why can't he?  Brady and Gronk are together.  Brady and some random dude that lives in the house Brady thought was his OC's are hanging out together.   I don't see the problem.

i didnt know they were working out together. well if thats the case then im all for them getting in some work together on the field. never said its a problem just didnt think with all the craziness of this covid stuff they wouldnt be willing to work out together. also remember dez & dak working out together & the media getting all bent out of shape because of that.

Vikings look like a good trade partner also.

Eagles trade / Vikings receive: #53 + #103

Vikings trade / Eagles receive: #58 + #89

Obviously depends what the board looks like when #53 is on the clock.

Yeah... I can't follow that.  The most nested quote is contradictory.

If you have been reading the boards today, I have been one of the biggest advocates of Reagor.  Almost everything I posted was positive, including his speed.  I was having a conversation with 1986 where he was arguing that he was not fast and then two hours later he says he never said that.  The end.

Maybe my number is higher because I've lowered my expectations.  I'm still hopeful he won't be a bust, but he certainly isn't stopping me from grabbing a second WR tonight if we get that chance.

I hope it doesn’t stop Howie. There could be some really good value tonight. Minus Alshon, we have Jackson and Reagor, Jjaw and ward. That’s still a less than ideal group even with the hope of jjaw progressing into decent. And the great thing is with Reagor’s inside-outside versatility we’re not stuck into looking at one over the other. All options are on the table

If they want a center fielder type, its now or never. I dont care if they dont do get Delpit or Davis. But if they dont I dont want to see any other safeties. Theyll all be redundant with the ones we already have.

Delpit and Davis are more natural fits for that CF role but I think Terrell Burgess is a nice player and he could do it. Not sure he'd be in our range in the 3rd though.

Mushroom risotto tonight. I use carnaroli rice, gets a better texture than arborio. Mmm mmm. Hanger steak. Mushroom gravy. And my red salad. Radicchio, tomato, radishes, pickled beets, roasted red bell peppers. Paired with wines from Corzano e Paterno in Tuscany. Tre Bulli for me, Corzanello for my beautiful wife. Then laze through the draft.

Life Is sweet. I almost feel guilty for this, especially when my next-door neighbor Is working in Temple’s ER. We save some for her and a bottle of wine as well. So not so guilty.

Some people say Delpit doesn't have the coverage skills to play the CF role.  Others say he does.  What's the deal?  From scouting reports it seems like his issues are more with tackling and he had a ton of picks his junior year.
