Yea, I thought we were still in need of an outside corner.  Any chance Diggs falls to 53?

theres 3 guys there that were mocked in round 1 pretty frequently. I probably would like Fulton the most but hes a guy that I read once that NFL people are not nearly as high on as the mocks.

I feel like Jaylon Johnson is an eagles type of guy.

In any event, I feel like its a good chance one of the 3 is available. And if not, theres still Dantzler too.

Dark horse, Reggie Robinson. I know hes better than where most mocked him and will go earlier. The question is just how early might he go.

If CB is the target, it seems like we can sit tight at 53.

In round 3 give me Gabriel Davis then. Or Bowden.

Delpit or CB, then WR is probably my ideal plan tonight.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

i didnt know they were working out together. well if thats the case then im all for them getting in some work together on the field. never said its a problem just didnt think with all the craziness of this covid stuff they wouldnt be willing to work out together. also remember dez & dak working out together & the media getting all bent out of shape because of that.

You didn't see the stupid Gronk call Brady put out?

That's not socially distanced, that's no mask, that's no bueno.

I was being sarcastic regarding Wentz and Reagor though.  They should do the right thing, even if Brady continues to be a lying, cheating piece of crap.

Happy enough with X-Rae, meat and potatoes tonight? (OL/DB) Is there a swing tackle worth a pick at all this evening?

I wonder if the Cowboys pick causes a reactionary pick by the eagles. It was a need to begin with but I wonder if they get aggressive in moving for their favorite of Fulton, Diggs, or Jaylon Johnson.

They may be confident in Roby-Coleman, and of course Slay but we need a 3rd CB to cover their 3 WRs.

I hear Sidney Jones is ready to step up and fulfill his promise.  He said so himself.

Somehow, I have more faith in him doing so than JJAW.

Would anyone be ok with Hamler?

I would be excited, perhaps more for the shift in philosophy than in the actual player. Hamler, to me, is much more of a "gadget” player while I believe Reagor can be a legitimate starting WR who can win every pattern on the route tree.

Realistically, I’m not sure we can go back to back at WR for two very similar players. I would be very content with Duvernay to be our new slot receiver later in the draft if we want to move towards overwhelming speed on offense.

Yeah rather Duvernay or a guy like Quez Watkins later on if we want another speed receiver.

We have desperate long-term needs to fill on defense that are more pressing now that Reagor is in the fold.

WR blocking is about the last thing I care about in a receiver. Just show effort. I thought he did when I watched him vs Ohio State.

An RB in round 2 would be infuriating.

He also mentioned his drops and stuff. Kept saying I'm going to be honest here. Just a tad concerning.

His coach sounds like he didn't do a great job coaching him up though. What was TCU doing with him? He barely got featured.

I could see Reagor blowing up. He needs to be used like Hill or Ruggs. TCU kind of screwed up.

I think people will be surprised how not difficult it will be for defenses to take away Reagor.

That's what happens when you draft a 1 trick pony.

Send them both out back and let them fight for a roster spot.  Whoever wins gets another year to prove themself

But isn't getting the defense to focus on Reagor the outcome we're looking for?

Sure, I just don't think defenses are going to be that worried. They'll put their faster corner on him. Press him at the line. And that'll be it.

We don't know if he is a one trick pony. Look at the chart above. The coach even said they didn't do a great job using him.

I'm starting to see why they are high on him. He is could end up being the NFCs Hill. Key word could be.

That is why I'm bummed we took a boom bust pick. This pick is make or break for Howie after last offseason he had.

Teams should have problems matching up when both Reagor and Jackson are on the field.  That may not happen much what with injuries and all, but when both are on the field teams typically won't have 2 corners to matchup speedwise.  They'll need to provide help over the top.

Agreed.  The dude is weak sauce.  I think his bench numbers were terrible.

At one point our "faster" corner was Rasul.  Not sure if that will work in all 16 games.

I'm not convinced Doug will play the two on the field together a ton, but there's no doubt the two together pose a problem for a defense. Hey, I'm hoping we become The Greatest Show on Grass. We''ll see.

Got this from a well-known NFL evaluator:

"It’s really a discussion about Reagor versus Aiyuk. Eagles wanted an explosive WR; Jefferson is not explosive. As far as out on a limb, I never talk about that. That’s how the Eagles rated the players. None of us know what any team’s draft board looks like. I don’t follow any guess (mock) drafts. They are totally irrelevant.
I like Reagor. Quick, sudden, explosive. A vertical threat and excellent run-after-catch.  Competitive”

Bench press is the last thing I would consider when judging a WR's ability to win at the line. I don't care if Reagor did 50 reps.

If Doug doesn't use them both at the same time then he will be on the hot seat. The media wouldn't let up. Especially after this loaded draft.

I just turned on the NFLN and Kelly Clarkson is screaming at me.

He benches 380 lbs and squats over 600 lbs. I think he will be able to handle a jam at the line of scrimmage by a CB.

I think we could see a lot of Reagor/Jackson/Ertz/Goedert looks. It would be a real handful for defenses. From a personnel point of view, how many DBs do you put on the field? At least 5, maybe even 6? And do you back your corners and safeties way off to deal with that deep speed and get sliced up underneath by Sanders and the TEs, or do you play tight and risk getting burned?

Its a real problem for a DC.
