Now think about defending this.  Carson in the RPO with Hurts at RB and Greg Ward in the slot with Reagor and DJax as the outside WRs and Ertz or Goedert at TE.  Who are you going to cover especially with motion. They have three players on the field that can throw to streaking WRs.  Ward is a threat on screens due to wiggle and I bet Hurts can rush or catch just fine.  Quite possible Hurts is a better Gibson or Bowden than Gibson or Bowden.

If Hurts lines up as RB one time next season, I will give $100 to a charity of your choice.  

Maybe we really should start considering firing Howie. And how could DP go along with this? He has just cause for mutiny over this.

Getting a Hill type gadget player at this point in the draft would be dumb. Hurts is a much better QB than Hill though. Gadget player/developmental athletic backup QB is still a frustrating pick at #2.

Lynn Bowden would be a better weapon X than Hurts. 

They didn't draft a late 2nd rd pick to replace Wentz.

Hurts won't even be the #2 QB this season, Sudfeld will.

Hurts will probably be used as weapon X, while they develop him at QB as an insurance policy for a great young QB who is injury prone.

Yea. They specifically said they didnt want to give up the 2nd round pick for Lamb.

So they had all this planned man. Wentz stumbles just a little and the media will be calling for him to get benched.

This is definitely the glass half full take.    This is such an out of the box pick, the Eagles better make it work.   

I actually do like Hurts as an offensive weapon, he is a good athlete and strong as an ox.   But I just really struggle to understand an experiment like this at #53 overall.   End of 4th round?  Fine.  I'm onboard.   Maybe even #103?   Okay, I could live with it.

But man I really struggle with the value at #53.   This could have been a top tier starter at OL, DL, LB, or DB.

Maybe they expect Wentz to retire in two years, idk
