Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Would you trade the rest of our picks for a new GM?

So, they really set their draft board for this???  I cannot fathom the pre draft debates

Hurts is compared to Tim Tebow. Some scouting reports say this.

A 2nd round pick on this.....

Tim Tebow comes up cause he and Hurts are only 2 of 4 in FBS history that have thrown for 30 and run for 20 TDs.  To be fair the other 2 were Jackson and Newton.

No. But we'll see what Howie does in RD3. We need a fullback.

The Skip Bayless' and Josina Anderson's' of the world are gonna have a field day pedalling his story of QB controversy. Way to F****** go Howie.

That stupid hood rat is going to write all sorts of anti Wentz stories with her jagged chipped teeth and painted eyebrows

Ill just say this, in 2 years when we trade Hurts for some nice picks we wont be nearly as mad.

Just gonna take a while.

And Wentz is 2 years older in his wasted career.

Is he that good? This is a premium pick

Obviously they think he is a legit QB. The eagles have always placed a premium on the QB position — backups included.

Look, this isn’t what I would have done, but there is some logic to it.

Think it’s a terrible message sent to the QB you just invested 100 million in. Haven’t criticized Howie or Doug since Super Bowl. Honeymoon is officially over.

Well gonna be a while til the next pick. Maybe we'll get another QB

Dave Gettleman looks like a genius now.

The Eagles always put a premium value on the QB position. (Including backups)   Probably higher than any other position on the team.  I guess they had Hurts ranked so high, it was a BPA scenario.  I guess one way to look at it is, Wentz has a competent backup.  Hurts can also come in like Hill does in N.O. for gadget type plays, etc.

We develop Hurts, he becomes popular around the league and then possibly trade him in a couple of years for a 1st round pick.  Worst case scenario, he stays here as a long term backup to Wentz.

I would trade Howie for Gettleman in a heartbeat, for Jerry Jones too.

I doubt it. There's a surplus of QB talent right now. Winston/Newton can't get jobs.

We do not have time to waste on hoping Hurts becomes good enough that someone will trade picks for him. With the way this team drafts those picks will be Fing useless anyway

You simple-minded short- sighted fools! With Ward and now Hurts, we can have 3 QBs on the field at once and revolutionize the NFL's forward pass. Defenses won't know who to defend on any given play. It will be the passing version of the wishbone offense.

And sharks with laser beams on their fricken heads

If Wentz is worried about Hurts, he should be traded.

well you tried

I don't think we have a good backup to Jake Elliott.  I mean, we are screwed if he gets hurt.  3rd round need.

Hopefully he will have started and finished both without an injury. They'd be his first 2.

They can't even develop wrs. What makes you think they'll develop trash as the backup qb

So, spend a 2nd round now to invest in for a couple of years and hopefully flip him for a pick one round better?

i just cannot make sense of this, no matter how hard I try.

What's most frustrating:

Jalen Hurts sucks. Like, sucks. Can't read a defense and is run happy.

Good pick, Howie. Slob.

This is why they shut the boards down.

Our GM is worried enough about Wentz to draft Hurts, so maybe Howie should be traded.
